摘要： Apparatus for distributing tobacco comprises a vibratory conveyor forming a closed loop, means for feeding tobacco onto the vibratory conveyor to form a carpet of tobacco on the vibratory conveyor, and a number of fixed feed pipes extending downwards towards the vibratory conveyor and having tobacco inlet ends positioned near the vibratory conveyor at various positions across the vibratory conveyor, tobacco being sucked up from the vibratory conveyor through the feed pipes, and including on the vibratory conveyor a ramp upstream of each of the feed pipes to lift tobacco towards the feed pipes.

摘要： Loose fibrous material, e.g. cut tobacco, is distributed via a horizontal rotor drum in a housing; the drum having external rakes for picking up tobacco deposited on an ascending portion of the drum and presenting it to suction-operated, draw-off pipes in a top portion of the housing. Tobacco which is not drawn-off is carried around on the rotating drum for re-presentation to the pipes. This re-cycling avoids an external return system and degradation of the tobacco.

摘要： A pneumatic tobacco feed system comprising a plurality of automatically operated two-way pneumatic switch valves serially connected with each other on the main feed duct, and further individually connected to the discharge units of each utilizing machine, which in turn are manifolded to a suction source. The said valves are automatically pneumatically switched from a first position in which they opens the communication between their inputs and the discharge units, closing the communication to the main feed duct, to a second position in which they close the communication to the discharge unit opening the communication with the main feed duct.
