    摘要: An apparatus and method relating to a cased telescoped ammunition assembly configured to be fired from a firing device. Under one aspect of the invention, a cased telescoped ammunition assembly includes a combustible case body and noncombustible end caps connected to opposing ends of the case body. The case body is configured to be substantially consumed in combustion when the ammunition assembly is fired. An internal support structure is positioned in the interior portion of the case body and connected to the end caps. The internal support structure and the end caps define a load-bearing unit that provides a load path substantially independent of the case body. The load-bearing unit is configured to react external loads, such that the combustible case body is substantially isolated from and does not react the external loads.

    摘要: A detachable connection between a projectile and a propellantcharge case for cartridge-encased ammunition adapted to be fired from a gun barrel. The propellant-charge case is provided at the front end zone with at least one recess receiving a locking element radially displaceable between inner and outer end positions. The element in the outer end position projects outwardly of the propellant-charge case to an extent sufficient to prevent complete introduction of the propellant-charge case into the gun barrel and is supported in this position by a movable blocking member which is displaceable against the force of a spring toward the rear of the propellant-charge case. The projectile which is to be connected with the propellant-charge case is provided with a tail portion arranged for contacting the blocking member and to displace the blocking member toward the rear. The tail portion is also provided with a recess adapted to be engaged by the locking element upon displacement of the blocking member such that the locking element assumes the inner end position connecting the projectile and the propellant charge case and permitting introduction of the flush connection of the projectile and the propellant-charge case into the gun barrel for support therein.

The measuring body defines a cavity including a hole for receiving a cartridge and defining a hole axis, a hole end opening facing the first reference surface, and an opposite hole end bottom. The measuring body includes a threaded through hole coaxial with the hole axis between the hole bottom and the second free body end. An adjusting screw engages the threaded hole so rotation of the screw displaces the second reference surface along the hole axis. A lock washer has a threaded washer hole engaged with the screw body outside the measuring body so upon rotation, the lock washer moves. The lock washer clamps against the measuring body, locking the adjusting screw.
