摘要： A laptop computer paper support device for removably setting on the top of a laptop computer case and for holding at least one document above a screen on a laptop computer. The laptop computer paper support device comprises a support member and shelf member. The support member includes a front surface, a top edge, a bottom edge, a left edge, a right edge and a connection axis passing through the left edge and the right edge. The connection axis is substantially perpendicular to the left edge. The shelf member is pivotally attached at the connection axis to the front surface of the support member. The shelf member includes a top surface and a bottom surface. The shelf member also includes a shelf ledge adapted for maintaining a document upon the top surface of the shelf member. The shelf ledge is attached to the top surface and extends upwardly from the top surface at a non-zero angle. The shelf member further includes a shelf flange adapted for setting on the top of a laptop computer case. The shelf flange is attached to the bottom surface and extends downwardly from the bottom surface at a non-zero angle. The shelf member is moveable between an open position where the shelf is substantially perpendicular to the support member and a closed position where the shelf member is substantially parallel to the support member.

摘要： The present invention is directed towards a computer monitor utility assembly to be used with a standard computer monitor. The computer monitor utility assembly includes primarily a universal mount base which is structured and disposed to be removably, yet securely attached to the top surface of the monitor, and to a generally rigid top panel having a width generally equivalent to a width of a screen of the monitor. The top panel is adjustably secured to the mount base in overlying relation atop the monitor and so as to be able to slide forward and backward relative to the mount base, thereby selectively overhanging beyond the front surface of the monitor and providing shade to the monitor screen from light and glare. Further, the improved computer monitor utility assembly includes a utility console. The utility console is structured to effectively and operatively contain a plurality of peripheral articles, such as computer speakers, a microphone or a camera in an operative and modular fashion that permits facilitated expansion or modification of the system capacities. The utility console is secured to the top panel and is concealed by a lip of the front panel so as to provide a concealed and aesthetically pleasing appearance, while still providing necessary accessibility for use of the peripheral components integrated with the utility console.

摘要： A laptop computer has a height adjustable monitor and document holder to allow for ergonomic viewing. The height adjustable monitor and document holder can be utilized as separate entities and can be incorporated in laptop or desktop computers. The actuating system for the height adjustable monitor comprises a small diameter motor that is used to power a lightweight, high mechanical advantage gear train comprising a worm gear system and nulllifter gearsnull with an nulleccentric pinnull drive to raise or lower the monitor, and also features a built-in locking mechanism. The actuating system has been designed to fit within currently produced laptop cases. A nullsplit-housingnull design is used so that the monitor and frame moves independently of the rear lid. The document holder resides in a storage compartment resting on the top surface of the monitor and comprises thin rectangular members that retract from the side of the compartment through a spring-release mechanism. The document holder incorporates a nullTnull shape with a lower shelf that allows for mounting of documents. The document holder rises and tilts in conjunction with the monitor and can also rotate about a vertical axis to allow for optimum viewing. An alternative embodiment of the document holder exists as a detachable version.

摘要： A portable grasping apparatus comprises a clamp and an elongated clamp or clip movably interconnected in between by means of a plurality of pivoting mechanisms. The clamp secures the apparatus to a surface, such as a portable computer, without permanently being mounted to the surface. The clamp can accommodate the varying thicknesses of portable computers of all sizes. The clip holds large shape materials such as documents, paper and the like. The apparatus serves the purpose of holding documents either to the left or right side of a user of portable computers while reading or transcribing documents during travel. In a preferred embodiment, the rotation of the clip to either side of the user is by means of a rivet as a first pivoting mechanism. The apparatus may also be folded into a compact form for storage by means of a hinge as a second pivoting mechanism. The same hinge may be used to adjust the view angle of the document. The clip, serving as a line guide during transcribing or reading of documents, is transparent and has magnifying properties. Facing the user, a clock on the front side of the clamp is an added feature for the convenience of the user.

摘要： A document holder for use in supporting documents in a ergonomically correct position with respect to a video display screen and a keyboard of a computer workstation, word processor and the like. The document holder includes a generally upright transparent easel supported on a bracket for vertical adjustment with respect to the bracket. The easel support bracket is mounted on a support rail and is laterally slidable from side-to-side for positioning the easel in a selected horizontal position along a line substantially parallel to the plane of the video display screen. The easel support bracket rail member is mounted on spaced apart pivot brackets for pivoting the easel about an axis parallel to the lateral slide axis. The support brackets are mounted on trunnions disposed on opposed support arms which, in turn, are mounted on a pedestal member for sliding movement to selected working positions of the easel toward and away from the display screen and along an axis generally normal to the display screen. The support arms are supported on rail members which may be detachably connected to a pedestal member forming part of a pedestal having plural stackable pedestal members. The easel support pedestal member may be selectively positioned in the pedestal stack to also adjust the height of the document holder. Thus, the document holder is positionable along three mutually perpendicular axes and may be rotated about one of the axes to place the easel in a selected working position.

摘要： In combination, a computer and removable paper holder. The paper holder is adapted to be removably mounted on a computer, preferably on a portable or notebook computer display screen, for securing a sheet of paper adjacent thereto. The holder is made of flexible plastic and includes a body having a pair of end edges and a pair of side edges. A pair of spaced legs extend outwardly from one side edge of the body adjacent the end edges. A central flange extends outwardly from the body and is centrally positioned intermediate the legs. The body is in a planar configuration for ease of storage and transporting but is flexed into a bowed arcuate configuration when mounted on a portable computer display screen. When flexed into this arcuate configuration, the screen edge is interposed between the central flange and the respective legs. A resilient clip is formed integrally with the body and located centrally thereon to hold a paper sheet against the body. A pair of paper alignment tabs are also formed on the body and are positioned adjacent each leg to align and support an edge of the paper with respect to the computer screen.

摘要： A holder for sheet material frictionally secures the sheet material intermediate a back plate and a plurality of rollers. A rigid planar plate in converging relationship to the back plate guides the rollers against the back plate to compress the sheet material against the back plate and frictionally retain the sheet material. On exertion upon the sheet material of a pulling force generally in the plane of the back plate, the compressive force will be increased and withdrawal of the sheet material will be prevented. A pulling force exerted upon the sheet material at a substantial angle with respect to the back plate will urge the rollers along the rigid planar plate away from the back plate resulting in removal of the compressive force and permitting release of the sheet material.
