Abstract:
Apparatus, systems and methods are described for outputting audible or visual indicators via a remote control for a controlled device. A remote control queries an associated controlled device for information. The controlled device generates a request for the remote control to activate an audio or visual indicator. The request is integrated with a response to the query that is transmitted to the remote control. The remote control outputs an audio or visual indicator responsive to the request.
Abstract:
A remote determines an acknowledgement is not received for a command transmitted to a first device, broadcasts a discovery message, receives a response from a second device that received the discovery message and a proximity signal from the remote, and configures itself to control the second device. The remote may also transmit an acknowledgement to the second device. The second device may notify the first device. In various implementations, configuration information in the response may include pairing information and the remote may unpair itself from the first device and pair with the second device. In some implementations, the remote may include a table for controlling devices and the remote may utilize an entry in the table for the second device instead of the first device. In various implementations, the remote may receive responses to the discovery message from multiple devices and may select one to configure itself to control.
Abstract:
Described are mobile devices and methods that receive location data by a user device that is configured to perform a plurality of different control actions on one or more different remote systems/devices, receive gesture data from a sensor process the location data and the gesture data to determine a command that performs a control action and to determine a particular one of the remote systems/devices on which the command is to be performed, and cause a message that includes the determined command to the determined particular one of the remote systems/devices to perform the determined control action by the particular one of the systems/devices.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed. The present invention includes a touchscreen; a memory configured to store access point (AP) information; a 1st wireless communication unit configured to perform a communication with an AP (access point); and a controller configured to control a user interface for remotely controlling an external device to be displayed on the touchscreen or to be in a displayable state when the AP connected to the 1st wireless communication unit matches the stored AP information.

Abstract:
A control device and a control method for controlling a physical switch are provided. The control device includes a bonding interface, a signal transceiving module, a control module and a driving module. The bonding interface is configured to bond the control device with the physical switch. The signal transceiving module is configured to receive a control signal. The control module is connected with the signal transceiving module and configured to generate a driving signal according to the control signal. The driving module is connected with the control module and configured to touch and control the physical switch according to the driving signal. The control method is applied to the control device to implement the operations.
Abstract:
When a controlled device receives a change command from a control device, the controlled device changes a real current memory, generates a change notification that includes first data indicative of the control device having transmitted the change command and second data indicative of the change result in response to the change command, and transmits the generated change notification to the plurality of control devices. Each control device receives a change notification from the controlled devices, changes a virtual current memory based on the second data of the change notification if the first data of the change notification does not indicate the control device. Each control device does not change the virtual current based on the second data included in the change notification if the first data indicates the control device.
Abstract:
A system for remotely controlling operation of a vehicle comprises a handheld electronic device, a key, and a base station mounted in the vehicle. The handheld electronic device is bi-directionally and wirelessly communicable with the key, while the key is bi-directionally and wirelessly communicable with the base station. An instruction which can be a vehicle searching instruction is sent to the base station from the handheld electronic device via the key. The base station sends position information of the vehicle to the handheld electronic device via the key upon receiving the instruction for searching the vehicle.
Abstract:
A device is disclosed for providing a communication interface for a solid-state luminaire. The disclosed device may be configured, for example, as a dongle to be electrically coupled with power lines between a driver and solid-state light source. The device may draw power from the power lines, while also adjusting and, if desired, monitoring current going to the light source. In some embodiments, the device splits current received from the driver into a first portion that is returned to the driver or consumed within the device and a second portion that is time-modulated and delivered to the light source. In some other embodiments, the device provides a time-varying impedance in series with the driver, reducing current received by the light source in a time-modulated manner. In either case, the device optionally may be configured to cause the light source to output a pulsing light signal encoded with data.
Abstract:
An electronic device for controlling a remote electronic device is described. The electronic device includes a processor and instructions stored in memory that is in electronic communication with the processor. The electronic device enters a control state that is not a power off state and is not a power on state. The electronic device also generates a control message for a remote electronic device while in the control state. The electronic device further transmits the control message for controlling the remote electronic device while in the control state.
