摘要: A remote switching for handset handsfree speakerphone operation in a telephone system including an “off of shelf” analog half duplex switching speakerphone IC on a base unit and routs handset handsfree signals via a RF link to and from a microphone and a speakerphone of at least one cordless handset. The remote switching provides a handset handsfree feature on any analog and digital platform that is not equipped with DSPs or other digital means for embedded speakerphone algorithms.

摘要: Aspects of a method and system for processing audio signals via separate input and output processing paths are provided. In this regard, a hardware audio CODEC comprising one or more audio inputs and one or more audio outputs and may be enabled to route, via one or more switching elements, audio signals from any of the inputs to any of the outputs. The CODEC may be enabled to simultaneously process a plurality of audio signals based on a configuration of the switching elements. Upstream from the switching elements, received audio signals may be processed independent of an output to which the may be communicated. Downstream from said switching elements audio signals may be processed independent of an input via which the signals were received.

摘要: A multi-standby mobile terminal and a method for providing a host function between different networks in a multi-standby mobile terminal are provided. The method includes creating a call from a first mobile terminal, as a multi-standby mobile terminal, to a second mobile terminal on a first network and to a third mobile terminal on a second network, outputting a received voice signal through a speaker from the first mobile terminal, when the voice signal is received from one of the second mobile terminal and third mobile terminal, and, transmitting, from the first mobile terminal, the received voice signal through a loopback process to the one of the second mobile terminal and third mobile terminal that does not transmit the voice signal.

摘要: A system and method for dynamically establishing optimum audio quality in an audio conference is disclosed. A connection with one or more remote communication devices is initially established. An available data rate associated with the connection is then determined. Next, a bandwidth is assigned based on the available data rate. Finally, the assigned bandwidth is adjusted according to the available data rate.

摘要: Methods and systems for providing automated measurement, adaptation and setup of voice communication system using one or more reference signals. An audio device is automatically configured at or near commencement of establishment of a communications path, such that the configuration is performed in a minimally humanly discernible manner. The methods comprise transmitting one or more predetermined reference signals into an acoustic environment, receiving the transmitted signals from the acoustic environment to thereby provide received signals, and adjusting at least one of a speaker gain and a microphone gain in response to the received signals. Adjustment of audio circuits, such as amplifiers, may be performed based on a signal analysis of the received signals. Optionally, computing parameters and/or generating signals may be performed based on the signal analysis, and the computed parameters may be inputted to auxiliary systems such as audio enhancement, voice activity detector, speech coding and/or speech recognition systems. Computed parameters may be representative of background noise, delay between a generated audible signal and a corresponding input signal captured by a microphone, signal level, gain, energy, and other parameters that may be useful for subsequent audio recording, storage, enhancement, coding, or recognition system.

摘要: Communication terminals, methods, and computer program products are provided that sense background noise via a speaker that is also used to generate sounds. In some methods of operating a communication terminal, and a speaker signal is supplied to a first speaker to generate sound therefrom, a noise sensing signal is received from the first speaker. The noise sensing signal includes a contribution associated with background noise that is incident to the first speaker. Presence of the background noise in the noise sensing signal is determined.

摘要: A method for communicating data during an audio conference is provided. Digital data is received from a data source. The digital data is then modulated onto a carrier signal. The modulated carrier signal is subsequently combined with an audio signal of the audio conference. The combined signal is communicated to at least one remote communication device. Upon receipt by the at least one remote communication device, the combined signal is separated into the audio signal and the modulated carrier signal. The modulated carrier signal is then demodulated to extract the digital data. Both the digital data and the audio signal are output by the at least one remote communication device.

摘要: A circuit comprising a transistor (T1) is connected in series to a resistor (RM) for measuring the line current; the whole is connected to the terminals (1,2) of the line. According to the invention, a light-emitting diode (18) is connected in series to a variable current source (20), the whole being connected in parallel to the emitter/collector path of the transistor (T1), and the variable current source, which receives a monitoring signal that represents the line current, produces a current that varies between a zero current and a maximum current for an average line current that varies between a low threshold and a high threshold.

摘要: A monolithically integrated AC coupling circuit is presented for DC uncoupling and AC coupling (typically in telephone applications) to an input signal. The AC coupler includes a high-pass filter having a first pole at a frequency well below a frequency of interest and a zero at zero frequency. The AC coupler also includes a pole/zero doublet between the frequency of the first pole and the frequency of interest. The frequency of the first pole for a specified error is increased by addition of the doublet. Because the frequency of the first pole is increased, the size of the required capacitors is decreased, enabling integration. An implementation of the circuit using switched capacitor techniques is described. An alternative circuit employing a unit gain interface is presented. The alternative circuit reduces the dynamic range and driving voltage requirements of its field-effect transistors.
