    Abstract: An ear-worn device includes: a microphone that obtains a sound and outputs a first sound signal of the sound obtained; a DSP that performs determination regarding an S/N ratio of the first sound signal, determination regarding a bandwidth with respect to a peak frequency in a power spectrum of the sound, and determination of whether the sound contains human voice, and outputs a second sound signal based on the first sound signal when the DSP determines that at least one of the S/N ratio or the bandwidth satisfies a predetermined requirement and the sound contains human voice; a loudspeaker that outputs a reproduced sound based on the second sound signal output; and a housing that contains the microphone, the DSP, and the loudspeaker.

    Abstract: A headset accessory comprises circuitry and is configured to mechanically attach to an audio headset. The circuitry of the headset may be operable to establish a link to the audio headset that supports conveyance of bias voltage, bias current, and/or information between the circuitry of the accessory and circuitry of the audio headset. The headset accessory may be configured to attach to a housing of the headset on a surface of the housing opposite an ear cup. A state of the circuitry of the accessory may be controlled based on the information received from the audio headset via the link. The information may include characteristics of audio being processed by the audio headset. The circuitry of the headset accessory may comprise non-volatile memory, and the non-volatile memory may store parameter settings for configuring audio processing circuitry of the audio headset.

    Abstract: A speaker assembly includes a magnetic field counteracting component arranged on an end face of an audio component facing a battery with positive and negative electrode tabs. When a counteracting current into a conductor forms a counteracting magnetic field acting on the audio component, the counteracting magnetic field counteracts an interfering magnetic field acting by the battery on the audio component. The conductor includes a first end and a second end such that, in a thickness direction of the battery, the first end corresponds to a position of a positive electrode tab and the second end corresponds to a position of a negative electrode tab.
