    Abstract: A method on a mobile device for a wireless network is described. An audio input is monitored for a trigger phrase spoken by a user of the mobile device. A command phrase spoken by the user after the trigger phrase is buffered. The command phrase corresponds to a call command and a call parameter. A set of target contacts associated with the mobile device is selected based on respective voice validation scores and respective contact confidence scores. The respective voice validation scores are based on the call parameter. The respective contact confidence scores are based on a user context associated with the user. A call to a priority contact of the set of target contacts is automatically placed if the voice validation score of the priority contact meets a validation threshold and the contact confidence score of the priority contact meets a confidence threshold.

    Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to smartphone and communication device which is wireless and rechargeable. The device can be controlled through voice and embedded with software for a number of functionalities. The invention also relates to solar charging and uses natural light for power and functioning. The Artificial Intelligence-based smartphone named Chear can respond to voice commands, access databases through internet connectivity, and create a novel communication stream that informs both the wearer and those around them. The smartphone has a protective covering of rubber and plastic to protect the device from possible damages. The invention can be connected to the World Wide Web (internes). It can perform live streaming for audio and video and complete texting functionality, including reading, writing, and sending messages and e-mails. The device can operate via speakerphone. As a smart gadget, it can access the internet, take voice commands, transfer/exchange/store cloud-based data, which can be transferred to any other device through a USB port. It includes the functionalities of a camera and is GPS enabled.

    Abstract: A method for residual echo suppression is provided. Embodiments may include receiving an original reference signal and applying a distortion function to the original reference signal to generate a second signal. Embodiments may include generating a non-linear signal from the distortion function that does not include linear components of the original reference signal. Embodiments may also include calculating a residual echo power of a linear component and a non-linear component, wherein the linear component is based upon the original reference signal and the non-linear component is based upon the non-linear signal. Embodiments may further include applying a room model to each of the original reference signal and the non-linear signal and estimating a power associated with the original reference signal and the non-linear signal. Embodiments may include calculating a combined echo power estimate as a weighted sum of a weighted original reference signal power and a weighted non-linear signal power.

    Abstract: A land-based or mobile phone and methods are provided for receiving inbound communications as either voice or text, and then based on the user's configuration settings, the inbound communication is provided to the user as it was received or is automatically converted into a format that is desired by the user. The phone includes a controller that determines how the phone will handle and process inbound and outbound communications. The controller includes a speech recognition engine.
