Abstract:
A distribution system includes an image processing apparatus to connect to a distribution apparatus over a network. The image processing apparatus includes first and second reception units, an analysis unit, a reflection unit, and first and second notification units. The analysis unit analyzes a received setting value used to connect to the distribution apparatus. The second reception unit receives an inquiry to acquire an import processing status using the import data. The reflection unit performs the import processing. The notification units notify the distribution apparatus about the analyzed setting value and the status of the import processing. The distribution apparatus includes an inquiry unit, first and second reception units, and a control unit. The control unit controls, in response to the distribution apparatus not being able to connect to the image processing apparatus, the inquiry unit to issue the inquiry using the setting value received by the first reception unit.
Abstract:
Among a plurality of MAC addresses, a MAC address to which an IP address is to be allocated is set, and key data for tracking an IP address corresponding to the image forming apparatus is set. An external apparatus is notified of the set MAC address and set key data.
Abstract:
An invisible ink management method and system. The method includes receiving by a computer processor data associated with an image to be duplicated and a duplication command enabling reproduction of the image. The computer processor receives a command for enabling a duplication prevention functionality and generates a first copy of the image. The computer processor enables an invisible ink spray nozzle. In response, the invisible ink spray nozzle sprays a plurality of invisible images on the first copy. The plurality of invisible images are invisible under first lighting conditions and are visible under second lighting conditions.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a history storage unit, a history writing unit, and a history reading unit. The history storage unit is configured to store a job history that shows a history of a job. The history writing unit is configured to divide that job history into a plurality of histories, add identification information to the plurality of histories for associating the plurality of histories with each other, and write the plurality of histories to the history storage unit. The history reading unit is configured to read that plurality of histories on the basis of the identification information.
Abstract:
A communication device includes a first tag data reading unit, a storing unit, an extracting unit, a display unit, and a transmitting unit. The first tag data reading unit is configured to read tag data from a wireless tag. The tag data is written in the wireless tag. The storing unit is configured to store transmit data and identification data in association with each other from the storing unit. The extracting unit is configured to extract, if the tag data corresponds to the identification data, the transmit data in association with the identification data. The display unit is configured to display contents of the transmit data that is extracted by the extracting unit. The transmitting unit is configured to transmit the transmit data displayed on the display unit to a destination device.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a display, an obtaining unit obtaining second data containing information for identifying the link information having no image data in a corresponding storage position among the plural pieces of link information contained in the first data, a display control unit making the display selectively display first link information having image data in a corresponding storage position and second link information having no image data in the corresponding storage position in different formats based on the second data, and a transmission unit transmitting image data generated by a scanning unit to the corresponding storage position.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus that enables to appropriately perform IP filtering even when communication via a network is performed by a user inputting a destination phone number. An IP filter permits or rejects communication on the basis of a set IP address. An input unit inputs a phone number. An acquisition unit acquires an IP address corresponding to the phone number inputted by the input unit from a server connected to the network. A setting unit sets the IP filter so that communication using the IP address acquired by the acquisition unit is permitted.
Abstract:
In a system including a communication apparatus having a facsimile function and a relay apparatus connected to the communication apparatus via a communication network, a user directly operates the communication apparatus, thereby preventing the communication apparatus from executing inefficient processing in the entire system. The relay apparatus controls the facsimile function of the communication apparatus that has established communication with the relay apparatus to enable transmission and reception of image data. Furthermore, the relay apparatus restricts execution of the facsimile function of the communication apparatus other than facsimile transmission of the image data transferred from the relay apparatus.
Abstract:
An external device document input and output device connected to a network and using a plurality of communication protocols, the external device document input and output device communicating documents in various data forms to and from a plurality of information devices, the external device input and output device including a first identifying part configured to implement a process of identification so a function of the information device can be used by individual identification; a second identifying part configured to implement a process of identification so a function of the external device document input and output device can be used by individual identification; and a registration part configured to register folders permitted to be used by a user identified by the first identifying part and the second identifying part and register setting information of a recording medium provided in the external device document input and output device, in common media.
Abstract:
A printing device comprises a communication unit which executes communication with a mail server on a network, a connection unit to which a portable storage medium can be connected, a printing unit which executes printing, and a control unit which executes a mail acquisition process of acquiring an e-mail including a body and an attached file from the mail server via the communication unit, printing the body with the printing unit, and storing the attached file in a portable storage medium connected to the connection unit.
