Abstract:
RE A color imaging system is provided with a tagging system that tags spot color pixels in a page description language differently from non-spot color pixels. These tags are generated in a digital front end and stored along with contone values in a data structure. In addition to the tags, a rendering hint remap table and a user TRC remap table are used to bypass applying TRCs to spot colors.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture to enhance automation of conversion and/or persistent storage of color management information embedded within an associated, received data object. Features and aspects hereof provide that color management information embedded within an identified data object (e.g., an image data object) is converted to an appropriate form useful within the printing environment and persistently stored for re-use in conjunction with presentation of received data objects in a print job. For example, an ICC profile embedded within a received image data object may be converted to an AFP color management resource (a color conversion CMR and/or zero or more link CMRs) and persistently stored in an object library for re-use in presentation of print jobs. The conversion and persistent storage of such color management information may be substantially automated as a step in the installation of the underlying data object.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus receives print data including text attribute information, and performs specific image processing defined in the print data in advance. The image processing apparatus includes a specific level detection unit for detecting a specific level defined in advance from the text attribute information; and an image processing unit for performing image processing defined in advance on the print data in the specific level detected by the specific level detection unit.
Abstract:
An updating unit updates a color-conversion table stored in a storing unit. An image processing unit processes an input image data based on updated color-conversion table. A tamper-resistant chip that includes a first collecting unit that collects log information related to a usage of the image processing apparatus, a generating unit that generates a hash value corresponding to collected log information, and a recording unit that records generated hash value. An acquiring unit acquires the log information corresponding to the hash value by referring to recorded hash value. The updating unit updates the color-conversion table based on acquired log information.
Abstract:
A display unit color-correction method includes: a first step of displaying a prescribed image on a display unit of a portable communication terminal that includes an imaging unit and the display unit; a second step of acquiring imaging data by imaging a color chart, which is a printed matter, and the display unit with the prescribed image displayed thereon together or individually by the imaging unit; and a third step of correcting a color of the display unit by using color information on the prescribed image in the imaging data and color information on a color in the color chart in the imaging data.
Abstract:
An information terminal device which is an image receiving device receiving image data from a multifunction device which is an image processing device transmits setting information such as resolution, color/monochrome setting and data format for generating image data to be received, and destination information of the information terminal device itself to the multifunction device, as a profile. The multifunction device receives the profile, generates image data of an image read based on the setting information of the received profile when scanning is executed, and automatically transmits the image data to the information terminal device based on the destination information of the profile.

Abstract:
Disclosed is an image processing system, comprising: an image processing apparatus to output image data based on an input of a print job; and an image forming apparatus to form an image based on the image data, wherein the image processing apparatus comprises a first control section to output color adjustment data so as to perform a gamma adjustment for the image data, and wherein the image forming apparatus comprises an adjustment section to perform the gamma adjustment for the image data based on the input color adjustment data.
Abstract:
A method for creating a pattern color space for use during print job processing may include: a) defining a variable portion of the pattern color space, b) defining a fixed portion of the pattern color space, c) defining a bounding shape for the pattern color space, d) defining a procedure for painting the variable and fixed portions within the bounding shape, and e) at least temporarily, saving the pattern color space to a storage device. The variable portion of the pattern color space may be based on variable data associated with the print job and an object within the print job may identify the pattern color space for a color parameter. A system using this method may include a storage device, a digital front end, a print controller, and a print engine. Various methods for using the pattern color space during print job processing are also provided.
