摘要: A spectral characteristic obtaining apparatus includes a color information obtaining unit including a plurality of spectral sensors aligned in an array direction, the spectral sensors being configured to receive light reflected from an object so as to obtain first color information of the object; a spectral characteristic calculating unit configured to estimate a spectral characteristic of the object based on the first color information by using a preset transformation matrix; a calibration color index configured to include a region of a color with a known spectral characteristic; and a transformation matrix calibrating unit configured to calibrate the transformation matrix by using second color information obtained from the calibration color index, wherein the spectral sensors are configured to obtain the second color information from the same region included in the calibration color index, while relative positions thereof with respect to the calibration color index are changed at a time of calibration.

摘要: Provided are a profile creation apparatus, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a profile creation program and a profile creation method. The profile creation apparatus includes a standard-color-profile obtaining section that obtains a standard color profile and a reference-device-profile obtaining section that obtains a reference-device profile. The profile creation apparatus further includes a color-conversion-table creation section that creates a color conversion table by combining the standard color profile and reference-device profile with being weighted such that a weighed ratio of the standard color profile increases as chroma calculated from input color values of the color conversion table increases, in a predetermined chroma region. The profile creation apparatus further includes a color conversion section that performs color conversion on a print image by using the color conversion table and outputs the print image to a certain printing device.

Accuracy of the mapping is improved, notably for source colors located near the boundary of the source color gamut.

The method includes (a) determining the timing to instruct the second printer to print a first measurement chart; (b) instructing, at the timing determined at step (a), the second printer to print the first measurement chart; (c) measuring, by the sensor, the first measurement chart which has been printed by the second printer; and (d) outputting information corresponding to a result measured at step (c).

摘要: Systems and methods for color calibrating an image are described herein. In some embodiments, a method includes disposing a unique identifier and a fiducial marker that includes a plurality of color regions on an object. A first image of the object is captured with a first camera and a second image of the object that is captured with a second camera is received. The second image is associated with the first image based on the unique identifier and spectral information of at least a portion of the fiducial marker in the second image is compared with spectral information of at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the first image. Based on the comparison, the second image is resampled to substantially match at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the second image to at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the first image.

摘要: A standard printer characterization target is printed with a reference printer and measured. From the measured data, a model is derived that describes for each ink the behavior of each individual ink in combination with different combinations of the other inks. In order to reduce the complexity for obtaining a printer model of a second printer, a second target is printed that includes only a subset of the color patches in the standard printer characterization target. With the model and interpolation, it is possible to reconstruct colorimetric data for missing color patches in the reduced target.

摘要: Certain methods and systems are described to provide color modelling. This color modelling applies to halftone images. In one example, a correction parameter for a color model is determined by minimizing a distance metric between a set of estimated spectral reflectance values and a set of measured spectral reflectance values to generate a multi-dimensional correction parameter. This enables a color model to be used to map at least one Neugebauer Primary area coverage value to at least one spectral reflectance value.
