The spool support comprises a spool-bearing portion and opposed rails extending in parallel relation to one another away from the spool-bearing portion. A line guide mechanism rides along the rails and comprises spool interfacing structures borne by a carriage member of the mechanism for interfacing with the opposed rims of a spool as borne by the spool support. Together the carriage member and interface units provide line-guiding stop structure for preventing or minimizing line migration during line transfer.

摘要： A fishing line spool holder for facilitating the transfer of fishing line from a supply spool to a fishing reel. The spool holder is adapted to mount to the outside of a tackle box or other suitable surface. It includes a mounting bracket and a substantially L-shaped respooling arm pivotally attached to the mounting bracket. The pivoting action allows the respooling arm to be placed in a retracted position flush with the surface to which it is mounted when not in use. A frictionally engaging notch mechanism locks the arm into respooling position prior to use. The device further includes at least one tension-cap to prevent uncontrolled rotation and unfurling of the supply spool fishing line during respooling, and at least one ball-bearing washer to assure that the mounting plate apparatus does not interfere with the respooling operation.

摘要： A tool and a method for the rapid and easy exchange of fishing line of a fishing reel includes a spool having two flanges. A first flange of the spool is preferably detachable for easy and efficient removal of used or damaged line from the spool. The tool further includes the ability to be used with a manual means for turning the spool. The manual version can be operated using brace and bit. In the preferred embodiment a motor is provided for driving the reel for rapid uptake and storage of a fishing line, the driving means preferably includes pair of spaced apart openings located on one of the flanges of the spool and the openings are preferably aligned to receive first and second handle portions of a handle of the fishing reel. A storage rack holds several exchangeable spools for different varieties (i.e., weight, color or length) of usable fishing lines. A method of using the exchanger and the storage rack is also described in detail.

摘要： A spool holder for holding a spool and transferring a quantity of line under tension between the spool and a reel. The holder is a generally U-shaped member having a horizontal bottom wall and vertical side walls fixed in laterally spaced relation and each side wall has a circular aperture therethrough in horizontal axial alignment. Suction cups on the underside of the bottom wall releasably secure the holder to a support surface. A shaft is received through the bore of the spool and is frictionally engaged therein and has opposed ends rotatably mounted in the side wall apertures to rotate relative thereto such that the spool and shaft rotate as a single unit. Resilient members may be installed on the shaft for adapting the shaft to frictionally engage different size bores. One embodiment has an adjustable thumb screw which frictionally engages the shaft to apply resistance during rotation to maintain tension in the line when being unwound from the spool and transferred onto the reel and also has a hand crank connected to the shaft for rotating the spool to wind line back onto a spool from a reel. Another embodiment has a pair of adjustable thumb screws extending through the side walls in horizontally opposed relation with their inward facing ends movable into frictional engagement with the laterally opposed flanges of the spool to apply frictional resistance to the spool during rotation.

摘要： The collapsible spool holder consists of a base plate, two pivot arms, two pins to hold the arms on the sides of the base plate and a shaft that snaps into the pivot arms. It is used to hold fishing line spools so as a person can replenish the fishing line on the reel of their poles. First one screws the base plate onto a hard, smooth surface (tackle box, boat, etc.), then the shaft is snapped out of the pivot arms. Next the shaft is inserted into the middle of the spool and snapped back into the slots of pivot arms. The product stays stationary so as one could unwind the fishing line from the spool which rotates with its flanges in contact with the relieved radius or shallow concave groove upon pivoting of the arms under gravity influence onto the reel of one's fishing pole.
