Abstract:
A method includes mounting a spool system at a floor level of a multiple dwelling unit. The floor level has multiple customer units. The spool system includes at least one spool of fiber optic cable. Each end of each fiber optic cable has a spliced-on connector. The method further includes paying out a length of fiber optic cable from the at least one spool to reach a customer unit of the floor level, connecting one of the connectors of the paid-out fiber optic cable to a floor splitter, and connecting the floor splitter to a distribution splitter of the multiple dwelling unit.
Abstract:
A hydraulically operated drain tile spool is provided having a frame assembly supporting an articulating upper and lower control arm for operably engaging, lifting, and supporting a drain tile roll from a suitable farm vehicle. The lower control arm supports a spool lower ring and a spool shaft, whereby a first hydraulic arm rotates the spool shaft between a horizontal (loading) position and a vertical (working) position. The upper control arm supports a spool upper ring and a spool shaft receiving member. A second hydraulic arm operably connects the receiving member with the vertical spool shaft to establish a cohesive spool assembly having a central shaft for supporting a drain tile roll between an upper and lower ring in a rotatable and dispensable position. The device connects to a suitable agricultural vehicle to support a drain tile roll without requiring direct contact therewith by an operator when stringing tile.
Abstract:
A fishing line spool dispenser comprising: a support rod; a spring stop in the support rod; a spring coiled around the support rod adjacent the spring stop; a first spindle adjacent the spring; a second spindle adjacent the first spindle; and a locking shaft collar adjacent the second spindle. A user may remove the locking shaft collar and the second spindle from the support rod; place a fishing line spool on the support rod; replace the second spindle and the locking shaft collar; slide all parts along the support rod to compress the spring against the spring stop; and temporarily secure the locking shaft collar to the support rod such that tension is maintained in the spring. The user may then load a reel with the even tensioned line dispensed from the fishing line spool. The support rod may be mounted to a base plate to which suction cups are secured. The user may attach the fishing line spool dispenser to a surface temporarily via the suction cups or may remove the suction cups and attach the base plate or the support rod itself to the surface for more permanent use.
Abstract:
An accessory mounting system and mounting method thereof provides an effective solution for sectioning a portion of a room and for organizing tools, objects and cables involved in the activity that gives rise to the need for sectioning or organizing the room. In particular, the present invention provides an accessory mounting system and method whereby accessories can be mounted to poles that are designed for use in temporary partitioning systems, or to other poles such as painter's poles. Such accessories can include, for example, a caution tape dispenser that mounts to a side surface of a pole following installation of the pole, and various pole clips that locate the caution tape at other poles in a clean, visually attractive, and effective manner. Other accessories include tool mounts, cable mounts, shelves, trays, drawers, hooks, camera or laser mounts, and the like, all attachable to a side surface of a pole following installation of the pole.
Abstract:
A wire dispensing device for containing a roll of wire having a free end. The device includes a plurality of enclosure walls connected to each other and forming an enclosure, where at least one of the walls is operable between an open position, thereby providing access to an internal area of the enclosure, and a closed position, thereby substantially enclosing the roll of wire positioned therein. At least one dispensing orifice extends through at least one surface of the enclosure and permits passage of the free end of the wire therethrough for use in dispensing the wire from the device. A method of dispensing wire from a roll of wire, and a method of manufacturing a dispensing device are also provided.

Abstract:
A rack system for use in interaction or combination with a forklift vehicle, or like vehicle, is disclosed. The rack system of the invention can be utilized for supporting and/or tying substances, items or members in positional relationship with a vehicle, for work on or transport of such items. The rack system in one aspect of the invention is provided with at least one rack support member, and preferably two such rack support members, for attachment to a overhead guard or other area of the vehicle. At least one of such rack support members is provided with a spool mounting bracket for installment of a dispenser accommodating tying or securing material. In another aspect of the invention the spool mounting bracket can be installed directly to an area adjacent to a cabin or driver's area in a vehicle, or directly in attachment with an overhead guard or other portion of a forklift or other vehicle.
Abstract:
A rope reel display and dispensing assembly for perforated panel boards often referred to as Pegboards in which reels of ropes, wire, cable, chains, tubing, hose products can be dispensed in measured continuous lengths and which are supported in rows upon the panel board in such a manner that reels are individually removable without disturbing any of the other reels of the row. All reels are connected to rod brackets, projecting forwardly from the panel board, by rod extending adapters that are in turn respectively snap-fitted to the forward-extending rod brackets and to which reel adapters that will have been inserted respectively in the respective opposite ends of the reels and will slide fit down upon the rod adapters and be removable with the reel from the extended axial-aligned assembly of reels.
Abstract:
Apparatus for lifting and supporting an item above a floor includes a frame and a pair of upright telescoping post assemblies having two opposite ends and which are positionable on opposite sides of the item to be lifted. A pair of guide posts are arranged as to extend substantially vertically of the frame and adjacent the post assemblies. A carriage assembly having an elongated member is mounted upon each post assembly for cooperating between the item and an adjacent guide post, and jacks are utilized for moving the ends of the post assemblies apart so that by positioning the elongated members of the carriage assemblies in cooperating relationship with an end of the item and moving the ends of the post assemblies apart, the end of the item is lifted by a corresponding amount and the carriage assemblies are guided along the guide posts.
