The member has structure adapted to cooperate with the lock assembly such that the first position of the handle when the member is adapted to be connected to the lock assembly in the first configuration is the same as the first position of the handle when the member is adapted to be connected to the lock assembly in the second configuration.

摘要： A cover is provided, preferably for securing valves, propellers, door knobs and the like. The cover entails a hinged plate having two sections. Each section contains an indentation which, when the sections are closed, forms an aperture. A pair of arms may depend from each section in alignment with the indentations. When the sections are closed, the arms will form a hollow column in alignment with the aperture. The hollow column will also preferably contain a constriction, preferably formed by a pair of lips extending inwardly from each arm. The sections will also contain sidewalls rising from the sections opposite the hollow column if it is present. A cap is provided which will fit over the sidewalls. A tongue and groove mechanism may be provided to allow the cap to engage the sidewalls and the sections to which they are attached. A plurality of locking apertures may also be provided in the sections and the cap so that the cover may be locked with a padlock. In use the aperture or constriction will close around a thin area on the object to be covered, such as the portion of a valve behind the locking nut, the portion of a propeller hub before its flared end, or the shaft of a door knob. The sidewalls will be sized to surround the object being covered, and the cap will fit over the sidewalls, thereby enclosing the object. If the cover, is locked, the object will then be secured.

The handle extension includes an elongated semi-flexible tube sized in inner diameter to biasingly slidably engage over and be self-retaining on the handle and sized in length to be at least twice the length of the handle. The combination of handle extension length and semi-flexibility substantially reduces door opening force while diminishing the seriousness of body injury when the handle and attached handle extension are accidentally bumped or struck by an individual.

摘要： A refrigerator door handle including a pull handle and an integral one piece extruded plastic handle cover having handle extensions on opposite ends thereof, the handle extensions having legs thereon for securement to the refrigerator door. In another embodiment, the pull handle is provided with extension bases positioned at opposite ends thereof to receive the handle extensions of the handle cover in a snap-in engagement. In a further embodiment, the pull handle and handle extensions on opposite ends thereof are fabricated from an integral one piece extruded plastic profile. It is noted, that the pull handle extensions or bases can be provided with legs for securement to the refrigerator door.

摘要： The present invention comprises an improved mounting device incorporating two set screws acting upon two separate axially spaced-apart conical portions of an anchor bolt to produce a lateral "wedging" force which anchors the door handle securely in place against the door stile. The anchor bolt is secured in a hole drilled in the door by turning the threaded shank of the bolt into an internally-threaded rivet set into the hole. A door pull is inserted over the anchor bolt through a bore in the door pull, and a counter bore fits over the flange of the internally-threaded rivet to permit the door pull to bear directly against the door stile. As the two set screws are tightened into threaded holes in the bottom of the door pull, the beveled tips of the set screws bear on the conical surfaces of the anchor bolt, creating a lateral wedging force which moves the door pull toward and against the door stile.

摘要： A door hinge shim for use with hinge mounted doors to control the spacing beween first and second members that are interconnected by a set of threaded fasteners. The shim plate has slots opening in one of its edges at locations to receive the shanks of the fasteners and a shim installing handle is formed integrally with the shim plate and extends outwardly therefrom to facilitate manipulation of the shim plate during installation. A line of weakness is formed in the handle at its juncture with the shim plate to facilitate breaking of the handle off the shim plate after installation. Teeth are provided on one or more of the slots in the shim plate to engage the shanks of the hinge plate mounting fastener and to hold the shim plate in adjusted position.
