摘要: There is provided a heating device for heating a foodstuff in a container. The heating device comprises a chamber configured to contain a fluid and to receive the container. A heating unit is provided for heating the fluid. The device also includes a temperature sensing unit and a controller configured to control the heating unit. The temperature measuring unit is configured to measure a temperature of the fluid. The controller is configured to monitor the measured temperature of the fluid to determine a first measured temperature pattern for the fluid over a first predetermined period of time. The controller is configured to determine a first heating profile and control the heating unit so as to heat the fluid according to the first heating profile if the first measured temperature pattern corresponds to a first predetermined temperature pattern.

摘要: A self-heating container assembly has a housing with a first portion and a second portion, each having a cylindrical cross-section. The first portion and the second portion are mated together in a manner that permits the first portion to rotate about a common axis relative to the second portion. A ring gear (or partial ring gear) is on or attached to the first portion and rotates with the first portion of the housing relative to the second portion. A rotatable cutting element is supported by a support connected to the second portion of the housing. There is a pinion gear on the rotatable cutting element. The pinion gear is coupled to the ring gear. A reactant container containing a reactant is adjacent to the rotatable cutting element, such that rotation thereof cuts into the reactant container.

摘要: Embodiments of an adjustable warming rack as an accessory component for a cooking station are provided. In one embodiment, the warming rack may include a rack panel and first and second legs. The rack panel may extend with an upper panel and a lower panel such that the upper panel is moveable relative to the lower panel to modify a surface area defined by an upper side of the rack panel. The first and second legs are each pivotably coupled adjacent respective first and second opposite sides of the rack panel such that the first and second legs are configured to suspend the rack panel above a flat cooking surface of the cooking station. Further, the first and second legs are pivotably moveable to modify a height that the rack panel is suspended from the flat cooking surface of the cooking station.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to thawing a cryogenically frozen sample. A method of thawing a sample includes receiving a temperature data feed from one or more temperature sensors reporting an exterior surface temperature of a vessel, calculating a thaw end time based on the temperature data feed, and outputting a signal to interrupt thawing of the sample at the calculated thaw end time, the sample at the thaw end time having solid phase remaining. A method of thawing a cryogenic sample includes heating a sample container with a heater, determining a thaw start time for the cryogenic sample; determining an estimated thaw end time of the cryogenic sample based on the determined thaw start time of the cryogenic sample, the cryogenic sample at the estimated thaw end time having solid phase remaining; and stopping the heating of the sample container after the estimated thaw end time.

The container can wirelessly communicate with a remote electronic device to receive information from the remote electronic device and to communicate operational information from the one or more heat transfer elements to the remote electronic device.

摘要: An improved flameless, non-electric chafing dish and an improved flameless non-electric heat source for use in connection therewith is provided. The chafing dish assembly includes a support frame for supporting the chafing dish on a serving surface, a lower (water) pan positioned on the support frame and having a bottom and one or more side walls, a food pan configured to nest inside the lower pan and having a bottom and one or more side walls, and an air-activated exothermic warming device positioned between the lower pan and the food pan. The warming device comprises a mixture of materials including iron which produce heat from the exothermic oxidation of iron when exposed to air. A support device configured for positioning between the air-activated exothermic warming device and the lower (water) pan is also provided. The support device is configured to permit airflow to the warming device and to elevate the warming device into direct contact with the food pan.
