Abstract: A body scrubbing device for scrubbing and massaging the back and lower body of a user. The device includes a generally U-shaped housing having a spaced apart pair of arm portions and a main portion connecting the arm portions of the housing together. A scrubbing member is positioned between the arm portions of the housing. The scrubbing member has opposite first and second ends and a longitudinal axis extending between the first and second ends of the scrubbing member. The first end of the scrubbing member is rotatably mounted to a first of the arm portions of the housing and the second end of the scrubbing member is rotatably mounted to a second of the arm portions of the housing. A motor for rotating the scrubbing member about the longitudinal axis of the scrubbing member is provided in the interior space of the housing.

Abstract: A window scraper brush is disclosed. The brush has a brush support defining a longitudinal axis and a plurality of filaments extending from a portion of the brush support. The filaments are tapered with the tips of the filaments defining a longitudinal filament edge substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. Preferably, the brush has brass filaments and an axle about which the brush can be oscillated. Abstract: An easily manufactured and inexpensive window cleaning device has identical upper and lower plates forming a head for receiving a sponge and a squeegee on opposite sides. The upper and lower plates have a horizontal section and opposite longitudinal edges. A radial clamping section of each plate is disposed at one longitudinal edge for clamping to the sponge. An L-shaped shoulder is disposed at the opposite edge, for engaging a complementarily shaped foundation spline of the squeegee, from which the blade of the squeegee protrudes. The two plates are of identical shape, being placed in mirror image position when attached together, for example using rivets that also attach a stem for receiving a handle. The sponge is secured within the radial sponge clamping section without the need of an internal stiffener, and the squeegee blade is oriented to an advantageous angle by the channel formed by the opposing L-shaped shoulders. The arrangement of the squeegee blade minimizes the extent of bending required to form the squeegee engaging section.

Abstract: A window scraper and method are provided wherein a scraping brush has filaments and wherein the tips of the filaments are moved linearly across the work surface as the brush rotates. Preferably, the brush has brass filaments trimmed to a point, and the brush drive mechanism moves the brush in an oscillating arcuate path while cams and cam surfaces simultaneously cause the brush to move toward and away from the work surface to maintain the tip of the filaments in substantially the same plane at a constant distance and pressure relative to the work surface. A novel brush has filaments trimmed to a point, an axle of rotation and cams to engage cam surfaces. The device includes an oscillating drive mechanism, a slot to rotatably and slidingly receive the brush axle, and cam surfaces to engage the brush cams and cause the brush axle to slide in the slot, causing the brush to move toward and away from the work surface during portions of the rotating brush sweep.
