While an empty winding core (8) is exchanged for a full product reel (6), the supply of printed products (4) to the transfer area (11) is interrupted. During that time, the transport members (13) carrying printed products (4) are taken from the buffer section (23), ensuring a continuous supply of printed products (4) to the delivery station (21).

A compressed-air outlet connection is provided on the carriage. The module has a continuous compressed-air channel in its longitudinal direction that is connected to the rail-fixed end of the compressed-air line through an output branch.

    摘要: An assembly verification test uses a sliding cart to transport work-in-process units from an assembly facility to a test area. The cart has a generally square frame with multiple vertical and horizontal frame members. The front end of the cart has wheels that engage the floor. The rearward end of the cart has wheels that are vertically offset from the front wheels and ride along a chassis of the test station that is located above the floor. The upper end of the cart has guide rails for slidably receiving work unit trays from assembly and offloading the trays to the test area. The wheels allow the cart to move laterally from side to side along the length of the test area so that the cart may be easily repositioned in front of any of the test slots.

Processing machines are positioned around the container distribution apparatus and are supplied with unprocessed containers and relieved of processed container. All Processing machines around the container distribution apparatus perform the same task. This arrangement creates a processing system that is faster then previously known processing systems.

When the manufacturing process at a first operational area is completed, the completed product is placed on the area's output track and conveyed to a subsequent operational area. When the processing at the subsequent area is completed, the unit is placed on the subsequent area's output track, which is a physically distinct track from the area's input track. The input and output tracks within an operational area may occupy different levels of a multi-level system in which the various levels share a common floor space footprint to conserve floor space requirements. The tracks may be configured as a pair of tracks to facilitate simultaneous processing of two products or jobs. In addition, one or more of the tracks may have a support surface that is not parallel to the manufacturing floor. A track may comprise a V-shaped rack in which a first surface of the rack is oriented at an angle with respect to the floor and in which a second surface is perpendicular to the first surface. The tilted orientation of the first surface may facilitate insertion and removal of product from totes within a confined space.
