    Abstract: A mechanism for performing capacitive level sensing of fluid within a fluid container supported on a movable carrier comprises a conductive probe, a probe position sensor, and a movable grounding element. The probe is configured for capacitive level sensing by detecting a signal or change of signal based on capacitance when the probe, or a conductive tip removably attached to the probe, contacts the surface of the fluid within the container. The probe position sensor is for monitoring a vertical position of the probe and recording the position at which the signal or change of signal is detected. The movable grounding element is configured for selective movement relative to a container positioned by the movable carrier at a level-sensing location with respect to the probe until the grounding element is in close proximity to or in contact with a portion of the container.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for rotating and transferring a discrete article. The rotation apparatus may include a rib portion defining a longitudinal rib axis. A head assembly may be positioned adjacent to the rib portion. The head assembly may include a transfer member. The transfer member may define a longitudinal transfer axis. A support member extending from the transfer member toward the rib portion may rotate about the longitudinal transfer axis. A first follower and a second follower may be operatively engaged with the support member. The first follower may include a first follower outer surface defining a first longitudinal follower axis and the second follower may include a second follower outer surface defining a second longitudinal follower axis. The first follower and the second follower may be positioned such that the first longitudinal follower axis and the second longitudinal follower axis intersect the longitudinal rib axis.

    Abstract: In transferring and conveying an article between rotation conveyance bodies, the rotation conveyance bodies (1, 2) are placed so as to have a prescribed gap between pitch circles thereof, and the article is conveyed along a transition curve whose curvature continuously varies from the pitch circle curvature of a rotation conveyance body (1) before the transfer to the pitch circle curvature of a rotation conveyance body (2) after the transfer between both the pitch circles, whereby the article is transferred and conveyed with acceleration smoothly varying and without a change in the distance between the axes of the rotation conveyance bodies.

    Abstract: An object is to improve a conveyor device including a curved passage and to provide a conveyor device that enables the curvature radius of a curved passage to be reduced. A conveyor device (1) includes an introducing side linear conveyor (2), a curved passage conveyor (3), and a discharging side linear conveyor (5). The curved passage conveyor (3) conveys an object with a rotation trajectory of approximately 180°. The curved passage conveyor (3) includes a circular plate (6), and the upper face of the circular plate (6) functions as a conveying surface. The circular plate (6) is curved or bent. A part of the circular plate (6) other than the curved passage conveyor (3) gets under the conveying surfaces of the introducing side linear conveyor (2) and the discharging side linear conveyor (5).
