摘要:
Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for removably deploying a floor assembly from a compacted state to a deployed state by varying tensioning forces to removably interconnected individual floor segments.

An overlap arrangement of at least two decking planks, for example for construction scaffolding, includes first and second decking planks. Each decking plank has a decking surface composed of sheet metal, which is provided with essentially round passage holes, which are delimited, in each instance, by a beaded and circumferential hole edge. The first decking plank and the second decking plank are braced, relative to one another, in releasable manner, using a locking screw composed of metal, to prevent displacement relative to one another in a displacement plane that runs parallel to their decking surfaces, and to prevent lift-off from one another.

The present invention relates to playground equipment and, more particularly, to a playground apparatus incorporating modular construction, which permits rapid simplified assembly, modification and universal arrangement of playground equipment modules without tools.

A lightweight, portable scaffold system has at least two support members which bear a platform. The support members have a Y-shaped base. Independently, adjustable legs attach to the arms of the Y and allow the support member to stand level on uneven ground. A support arm cantilevers from the stem of the Y. The support arm of each support member contacts a vertical surface and bears the platform. The scaffold structure is constructed of hollow stock to reduce its weight and can be dismantled and stored in a duffle bag.

A plank (10) used to construct a platform such as a catwalk (C3, C4) extending about the exterior or interior of a building (B) includes first and second generally horizontal sections (12, 24). The second generally horizontal section of the plank extends from one side of the first section. During construction of the platform, the first section of one plank overlaps the second section of an adjacent plank. A third generally vertical section (52) of the plank extends generally perpendicularly from one side of the second section and includes lips (58, 60) at its inner and outer ends for attaching the plank to toe boards (40,44) to secure the plank to the frames. When installed, the planks extend from a side of the building. The resulting catwalk extends either in a straight line, or is curved, depending upon the amount of overlap the first and second sections of the respective planks.

A panel-type construction element comprises a substantially rectangular base panel (1), which is particularly suited, for example, for use as a covering for facade scaffolding. Numerous dimples (2) can preferably be configured on the upper face of the base panel parallel to the longer side of the panel and continuous transversal areas (3) that are devoid of dimples and that respectively run at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the base panel are configured over the entire width of the latter. In the areas (3), transversal ribs (7), which project downwards and are connected to the underside and the respective abutting areas of flange surfaces (4) provided on the underside of the base panel to project downwards from the two longer sides of the base panel. The combination of longitudinal and transversal elements permits a simple, rigid and light-weight construction element, which if configured in plastic exhibits excellent weather and corrosion-proof properties and is extremely stable.

A size-adjustable platform for scaffolding comprises a plurality of overlapping sections extending from a central core, the sections including separate panels reciprocable with respect to the central core whereby the extent of the platform from the central core may be varied in size upon actuation of a ram or equivalent to cater for variable dimensions.

An end cap system for scaffolding planks, especially for hollow core planks. The end cap includes an extrusion having a plank-receiving portion on one side and a rib profile on the other for slidingly receiving scaffolding hooks. The end cap permits similar parts to be used for a wide variety of plank widths and allows for replacement of damaged hooks or the exchange of hook configurations. In the most preferred embodiment, the hooks are fixed to the end cap, such as by a set screw, after they are slidingly located at the desired position. The end caps may be used with either "high" or "low" hooks.

A metal end plate for a wood product including a plurality of elongated teeth protruding substantially transversely from the intermediate portion of the plate and a plurality of elongated teeth protruding substantially transversely from at least two opposed edges of the plate. These edge teeth are located such that, when the teeth are pressed into the end of a wood product, they engage the wood fibers near the outer perimeter of the end of wood product to provide restraining force at the perimeter of the end of the wood product to prevent large splits or cracks from forming or reappearing. In a preferred embodiment, the edge teeth engage the wood fibers within about 1/2 inch of the edge of the end of the wood product. Also, in a preferred embodiment the length of the edge teeth is on the order of 17/32 inch for average density wood and longer for wood of low density.

Modular stage platform comprises a pair of parallel, spaced-apart base members each comprising an elongated extrusion having an upstanding wall defining a continuous toe plate and an inwardly facing channel at the bottom thereof, the channels of the pair of spaced apart base members being opposed to each other, a plurality of equispaced transverse tubular members having opposite ends inserted into said opposed channels and secured thereto along said base members, a pair of parallel, spaced-apart midrails, each comprising an elongated U-shaped extrusion having a pair of walls depending downwardly from a web, said walls having opposed ridges formed on their inner sides spaced from the distal ends thereof and spaced from the web to form a continuous, downwardly-facing recess along the length of each rail and an inner box-like cavity, a plurality of equispaced vertical tubular members having their upper ends inserted into said recess and their lower ends abutting the base member channel rigidly secured thereto in alignment with the said transverse members to form a plurality of equispaced, U-shaped tubular reinforcing units, a plurality of diagonal tubular members extending from the rail to the base member and secured thereto, elongated flooring members seated on said transverse members and secured thereto, and connectors formed at the opposite ends of each of the base members and midrails for connecting a plurality of modular stage platforms together end-to-end.
