Abstract:
A coupling pin clip for a coupling piece for the connection of two components that are inserted between them. To affix the insertable coupling at the ends of the coupling piece, a pin is insertable both through a hole of the component and through a hole of the coupling piece. The coupling pin clip is U-shaped, the legs of which have a distance from each other that corresponds to the distance of the two holes in the coupling piece. Furthermore, the coupling pin clip comprises a tipping finger articulated at one end of the coupling pin clip.
Abstract:
A scaffolding assembly adapted to be releasably attached to an elongate support member such as an overhead pipe. The scaffolding assembly has a split collar and a platform assembly adapted to be releasably attached to the split collar. The split collar comprises at least two segments which can encircle the pipe and be secured to one another. The platform assembly which includes a platform deck has a connector formation which extends laterally outwardly from the deck to an extent that it can engage a receiving formation on the collar assembly and thereby attach the platform assembly to the collar assembly.
Abstract:
A modular platform system utilizing a number of components including a platform. The platform is configured so that each of the components may interchangeably connect to any side of the platform. The components include, for example, handrails and stairways, as well as other platforms. The platform and most of the components are formed from single, continuous pieces of metal.
Abstract:
The invention includes an access structure integration assembly and an integrated system using the assembly. An access structure integrated assembly includes at least one channeled structure and at least one joist socket slidingly engaged with the channeled structure. The channeled structure is configured to secure to a base structure, such as a suspended work platform system, and the joist socket is configured to secure to a second structure, such as a supported work platform system. An integrated system includes a base structure, a second structure and at least two integration assemblies, each assembly including a channeled structure secured to the base structure and a joist socket secured to the second structure and slidingly engaged with the channeled structure.
Abstract:
A locking member for a gate apparatus comprises a body mountable to a gripping array of a support, said body having a mating form mutually engageable with the gripping array, whereby axial motion of said body relative to said gripping array is inhibited. A member extends away from said body, said member defining a cross-tie mount for receiving a mating end of a cross-tie. The cross-tie mount has a cross-tie end retainer which is movable between a first position securing said cross-tie in said cross-tie mount, and a second position permitting release of said cross-tie from said cross-tie mount, whereby the cross-tie may be moved to function as a gate.
Abstract:
A mounting arrangement for a barricade and/or guarding system comprising at least one binding element, which in use, fastens around a mounting body, and at least one connector body connected to the at least one binding element, the connector body having at least one joiner engagement formation for connection to a joiner element. The binding element includes an elongate member having at least a fastening end, and at least one lengthwise side that includes an engagement arrangement, and a binding head connected to the elongate member, the binding head being spaced apart from the fastening end along the length of the elongate member and including a fastening opening for receiving the fastening end of the elongate member, the fastening opening including at least one fastening arrangement configured to cooperate with the engagement arrangement of the elongate member to lock a portion of the elongate member within the fastening opening.

Abstract:
A scaffold system and method having a hollow horizontal member with an internal wedge head at each end thereof, and internal wedge assembly with an external handle, and a vertical member having affixed in coaxial alignment therewith at least one grid patterned rosette. Each internal wedge head at the end of the horizontal member is configured to couple to the grid patterned rosette coupled to the vertical member substantially simultaneously using the wedge assembly mechanism.
Abstract:
A scaffolding system provided with standards each with an imaginary standard longitudinal central axis, first ledgers each with two extremities, first ledger couplings each connected at the extremity of a first ledger to the first ledger and which are configured for connecting the extremity of the first ledger to a standard, supporting projections which, viewed in the direction of the standard longitudinal central axis, are provided at regular distances on the outer surface of a said standard, wherein with a first ledger in a condition coupled to a standard, the first ledger coupling of the respective first ledger rests on a said supporting projection. Also, a coupling, a ledger and a standard intended for such a scaffolding system are disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention includes a work platform and support system that includes a hub and joist configuration, wherein the hubs and joists are capable of articulation, or pivoting. One method of installation allows for sections of new work platform system to be extended from an existing suspended work platform system. The system is also capable of supporting, without failure, its own weight and at least four times the maximum intended load applied to it.
