    摘要: An apparatus for boring a wellbore, including a bit body having a first end, an inner cavity, and a second end. The first end is connected to a workstring that is configured to deliver a rotational force to the bit body. The inner cavity contains a profile having a first radial cam surface. The second end includes a working face containing a cutting member. The apparatus also includes a pilot bit rotatively connected within the inner cavity. A second radial cam surface is contained on a first end of the pilot bit. The first and second radial cam surfaces are operatively configured to deliver a hammering force. A second end of the pilot bit may include an engaging surface configured to engage a formation surrounding the wellbore. The bit body rotates relative to the pilot bit.

The piston is configured to reciprocally move within the housing along an axial direction. The piston includes a helical spline and an axial spline on a surface of the piston. The roller ramp clutch circumscribes and engages the piston. The coupler circumscribes and engages the piston and drill bit.

Systems include a cam housing positioned above a drill bit in a drillstring, a rotatable cam positioned internal of the cam housing, the rotatable cam having at least one cam surface exhibiting reciprocating axial movement upon rotation of the rotatable cam, and a non-rotatable cam follower positioned internal surface of the cam housing and having at least one cam follower surface engaging the cam surface. The cam follower transfers the reciprocating axial movement to the drill bit. The rotatable cam is rotated by a fluid-powered positive displacement power section positioned above and mechanically attached to the rotatable cam in the drillstring to effect the rotation of the rotatable cam, and thus effect the reciprocating axial movement of the drill bit.

    摘要: A resonant extractor system configured to use rotational energy provided by a top drive system to apply vertical oscillating motion to attached tubular or drilling equipment. The extractor includes a rotational component, an oscillation component, and an assembly of engagement features. The top drive system may rotate the rotational component about a vertical axis. In certain embodiments, the rotational component is a housing, the oscillation component is a quill, and the engagement features include a cam disposed on a shaft. The shaft is coupled to and extends radially into the housing, and the cam disposed on the shaft, which features an eccentric geometry relative the shaft, maintains contact with a lip extending from the quill in the housing. As the housing rotates, the eccentric cam rotates, raising and lowering the quill, which is configured to couple with tubular or drilling equipment.

    摘要: A mobile drill rig has a drill mast, a carriage mounted to the drill mast for vertical movement, and a vibratory drill head having a sine generator and a rotation mechanism for imparting vibration and rotation to a drill rod string. An elastomeric torsion coupler couples the rotation mechanism to the sine generator to transmit rotational force to the drill rod string while isolating vibrations of the sine generator from the rotation mechanism. Another coupler connects the drill head to the carriage in a manner that allows floating vertical movement of the drill head relative to the carriage while isolating vibrations of the sine generator from the carriage. Elastomeric bumpers limit the vertical movement of the drill head relative to the carriage. Elastomeric spacers located between the rotation mechanism and the sine generator handle the vertical loading and maintain the proper spacing between the sine generator and the rotation mechanism.
