    摘要: A refrigerant flow metering device for use in a refrigeration system which uses a movable piston with a fixed flow passage in series with a variable area flow passage. The variable flow area is defined by the position of the piston relative to the valve body. The position of the movable piston is a function of refrigerant pressure differential across the piston and the force of a spring member acting in an opposite direction on the piston. In one embodiment, the variable flow area is defined as the clearance between a tapered fixed housing and a tapered portion of the movable piston. In an alternative embodiment, the metering device includes a two-piece piston having a re-open feature that increases the inlet orifice diameter of the piston.

    摘要: A variable oil flow regulator for minimizing noise generated typically by an oil-injected rotary screw compressor when the compressor transitions from an on-load mode for compressing fluid to an off-load mode. The regulator includes a housing having a first end, a second end and a chamber formed therein extending between the first and second ends. The regulator also includes a first port formed at the first end of the housing for admitting a pressure signal into the chamber corresponding to a compression level of the fluid, a second port formed at the second end of the housing for admitting the oil into the chamber, and a third port formed in the housing between the first and second ends of the housing for discharging the oil admitted into the chamber through the second port. The regulator further comprises a piston slidably disposed in the chamber between the first and second ends of the housing, the piston having a first end in fluid communication with the pressure signal and a second end in fluid communication with the oil. The piston is movable into a first position for allowing unrestricted flow of the oil between the second and third ports when the compressor is in the on-load mode and into a second position for restricting flow of the oil between the second and third ports when the compressor is in the off-load mode, the position of the piston being dependent upon the pressure differential between the pressure signal and the oil.

    摘要: In the coupling assembly, after a plug member 42 is slightly inserted into a socket member 15 with a slight push of the plug member 42 relative to the socket member 15, air pressure enables the plug member 42 to reach its innermost position inside the socket member 15 so that the plug member 42 is connected with the socket member 15. The coupling assembly comprises: the socket member 15 for receiving therein a valve 16 which is opened when pushed; and, a cylindrical slider 25 for slidably receiving therein the socket member 15. The slider 25 is provided with a piston 28 and an engaging means 34 in its rear and its forward end portion, respectively. Through the engaging means 34, a plug member 42 is connected with the forward end portion of the slider 25. The slider 25 is capable of moving relative to the socket member 15 when air is forced in one side of the piston 28 while discharged out of the other side of the piston 28, so that the plug member 42 is permitted to reach its innermost position inside the socket member 15 when the slider 25 is moved.
