    摘要: A fuel line assembly for an aircraft comprises a ferrule assembly comprising a ferrule affixed to an isolation tube, which may be directly affixed to a fuel tube or affixed to an extension tube, which in turn, is affixed to the fuel tube. The ferrule assembly provides electrostatic discharge protection and lightning protection as the isolation tube maintains a separation distance from the ferrule and fuel tube, both of which are made from metal. The isolation tube is made from a dielectric material, but which may have conductive particles added to aid in the dissipation of an electrostatic charge. The electrical resistance through the isolation tube has a lower limit to arrest the flow of the induced lightning current through the assembly. The amount of lightning protection afforded can be configured. The ferrule assembly components may be affixed by using thermo-welding, adhesive, or mechanical pressure.

    摘要: A pipe connection, in particular an electrically insulating pipe connection, formed by interlocking or interpenetration of material between (a) an overlapping, reinforced plastic sleeve which is subdivided into a number of superimposed pipe shells that mutually support each other and which are advantageously separated from each other and can therefore be deformed independently in the axial direction of the sleeve, and b) at least one pipe, preferably overlapped by the pipe shells or layers and made, in particular, of metal. The end of the plastic sleeve is wound, pressed or cast around the end of the overlapped pipe, and the flanges of the innermost pipe shell or layer hooks onto a shoulder at each end of the overlapped pipe. The end region of the outermost pipe shell or layer may be enclosed by a coupling ring. The flanges (1'-10') of the pipe shells (1-10) or pipe layers abut on each other, possibly via an incorporated ring (20) or ring winding preferably perpendicular to the axis of the sleeve. The ring or ring winding has a projection (21), for example, which is arranged between the adjacent axial surfaces of adjacent pipe shells (7, 8; 9, 10) or pipe layers, but is preferably fixed to only one of these pipe shells (7, 8; 9, 10)

    摘要: Two coaxial metal pipes, whose confronting extremities are each provided with a plurality of peripheral ribs of staggered height separated by two or more peripheral grooves, are interconnected by a coupling sleeve of fiber-reinforced thermosetting resin subdivided into several coaxially interleaved and independently deformable cylindrical shells each terminating in a pair of internal beads engaged in a respective peripheral pipe groove. The shells, increasing in axial tensile strength from the innermost to the outermost one, are preferably separated from one another by interposed antibonding layers of thermoplastic resin. A resinous filler can be inserted between the pipe extremities for electrically insulating them from each other. The shells of the coupling sleeve can be formed by coiling resin-coated filaments around the pipe axis, advantageously with application of an antifriction layer on each inner shell before the thermosetting material thereof has been fully hardened.

    摘要: A hose member of synthetic plastic material is surrounded by a pressure-resistant armor and is provided at its opposite ends with mounting sleeves which surround the armor. At least one of the ends of the hose member extends axially beyond the associated mounting sleeve. Two connecting members are provided at the opposite ends, each having a nipple which extends into the hose member and which is formed with an externally enforcing bead surrounded by an axially intermediate portion of the respectively associated mounting sleeve. The nipples are retained against axial movement relative to the hose member by a retaining portion.
