摘要： The control mechanism for displaying hours and minutes includes a tilting member (15) biasing against, under the effect of a return spring and via a pawl (18), a spirally shaped cam (12) located at the center of the movement, and which makes a full rotation in one hour. The tilting member (15) is lifted progressively by the action of the cam (12) to fall back instantly, once each hour. During this instantaneous falling back motion of the tilting member (15), a toothed sector (23) carried by the same drives, via a train of gears (24, 25, 26), a central pinion (27) carrying the minute hand. Thus, once at each hour, the minute hand is instantly reset to its initial position. The tilting member (15)carries a pawl (30) cooperating, at each of the instant falling back motions of the tilting member, with a star wheel with twelve branches, which rotates at the center of the movement and which carries a disk indicating hours, of which the display it thus of the so-called "incremental" type.

摘要： A timepiece includes a date indicator with inner teeth moving angularly by one step per day. An indication control star meshes with the inner teeth of the indicator. A pinion that is integral and coaxial with the star drives an indicator wheel on which an indication arbor is centrally disposed. The rotary indicating structure is driven by the date indicator through the indication arbor and is intended to indicate cyclic parameters such as the date, the phase of the moon, the user's "cash balance," etc. Various types of indication, all controlled by the date indicator, make it possible to produce a wide range of watches of simple design with different display combinations.

摘要： The face of the watch bears a design and has windows set in it in areas which do not affect the design itself. The disk which, in a normal watch, serves to display the day of the week, bears a design corresponding to the central portion of the design on the face. The ring which, in a normal watch, serves to display the date, bears a design corresponding to the portion of the face design which is not on the disk. Owing to this arrangement the design on the face only appears every 217 days without a parasitic image being present in the windows. The rest of the time the disk and the ring cause portions of the design to appear in the windows which give a confused overall appearance.

摘要： The rotor of a stepping motor which rotates quickly by 180.degree. after the elapse of every second is provided with an ornamental disc at the end of the rotor spindle that is directed toward the timepiece's face. The disc may be disposed above the face, where it must be arranged in such a manner that it does not interfere with the paths of the hands. Alternatively, the disc may lie below the face, with at least one window being provided in the face so as to expose part of the disc. The design on the disc is such that the portion visible in the window changes suddenly every second. For example the design on the disc may be formed of two halves of contrasting color, one of which may be a luminescent color, a fluorescent color, or a luminous color. The device then has the same effect as a blinking light.
