摘要: A protective cover to cover an opening of an electrical box having a threaded bore on inwardly projecting protrusions. In one approach the protective cover may have a back panel and four side panels together defining an interior cavity; a flange connected to a free edge of the side panels; wherein the flange has a pair of keyhole shaped bores defining a pair of openings along a center longitudinal axis of the flange; and wherein the keyhole openings are configured to allow a head of a screw to extend from the threaded bore and through a rounded portion of the keyhole opening and to allow a threaded shaft of the screw to slide along the length of an elongated narrow portion of the keyhole opening, the narrow portion being narrower than the diameter of the screw head.

The one or more modular devices may be installed adjacent to the host device and may share a faceplate with the host device, such as a standard decorator faceplate. The modular devices may receive power from the host device via a power bus between the host device and the one or more modular devices. Further, the power bus may include a communication bus for communication between the host device and the modular devices. The faceplate may be a smart faceplate, which may include circuitry, such as a battery backup, occupancy sensing, a charging dock for a mobile phone, etc.

摘要: A rectangular or square mud ring assembly includes a base member, a raised member, a telescoping member and a plurality of drive members. The base member has a flange and a rectangular or square opening through the flange. The raised member extends from the base member and follows the rectangular or square opening in the flange to form a rectangular or square raised wall. The raised member has a plurality of mounting tabs extending from the raised wall toward the opening in the raised member. The telescoping member is positioned within the raised member opening and is movable relative to the raised member between a retracted position and an extended position. The telescoping member has a rectangular or square wall, an opening and a plurality of mounting tabs extending from the rectangular or square wall toward the opening in the telescoping member. The rectangular or square wall of the telescoping member includes a plurality of protective members. Each protective member is positioned in proximity to one of a plurality of mounting tab pairs. In this configuration, one of the plurality of drive members is operatively coupled to the mounting tabs of one of the mounting tab pairs, such that rotation of the drive members causes the telescoping member to move between the retracted position and the extended position.

摘要: An improved cable molding product that can be easily installed to protect low voltage and line voltage electrical cables in new and existing building construction applications. The two-part secure molding system is comprised of a base portion that is mounted for instance to an inside face of rectangular aluminum tubing or any interior wall. Low voltage wiring cable is placed into a rectangular base portion channel. The line voltage wiring is placed into the separate base portion channel. A rectangular cover snaps securely onto and over the base to conceal the cable and wire.

摘要: An apparatus, such as an electrical device or a wall box, may have a mounting mechanism that may be configured to mount the apparatus to a wall in a manner that may facilitate secure fastening to the wall. The apparatus may comprise at least one mounting clamp that may have a fin and a drum that receives a mounting screw. The fin of the mounting clamp may be configured to be located within a pocket formed in the body. When a mounting screw is driven, the mounting clamp may rotate from the pocket into a position in which the drum of the mounting clamp may be received in a channel formed in the body. The drum may be configured to move through the channel as the mounting screw is further driven. The gap may be sized to retain the mounting clamp within the channel as the drum moves therethrough.
