摘要: A technique is provided for transmitting data over a communication network. The technique comprises identifying an optimum network path comprising intelligent intermediate nodes between a source node and a destination node, determining an optimum packet size of the optimum network path for transmitting data packets without fragmentation, transmitting each of the data packets from the source node to the destination node via the optimum network path at the optimum packet size, detecting at least one of a plausible fragmentation of a data packet being transmitted and an actual fragmentation of a transmitted data packet at one of the intelligent intermediate nodes, dynamically updating the optimum packet size of the optimum network path for transmitting remaining data packets without fragmentation based on the detection, and transmitting each of the remaining data packets from the source node to the destination node via the optimum network path at the updated optimum packet size.

In some embodiments, during an initial interconnection setup between a transmitting wireless local area network (WLAN) and a receiving WLAN device, and a first frame or packet is wirelessly transmitted or received by the wireless device. An electromagnetic signal from nearby devices that interferes with wireless transmission is detected. Based on the detection of the wireless transmission interference, the wireless communication parameter is changed to increase communication throughput, and a second frame or packet is wirelessly transmitted or received.

摘要: A user equipment (UE) determines whether a size of data available for transmission in a PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) entity of the UE, excluding a size of a PDCP Control PDU (Protocol Data Unit), exceeds a threshold value. Here, the PDCP Control PDU is predetermined to be transmitted through the first link of the bearer. The PDCP entity of the UE informs an indication on (a) the size of the data available for transmission, or (b) the size of the PDCP Control PDU, to a first entity of the UE for the first link based on the determination, and the first entity can transmit a buffer status report to the network based on the indication. Here, the size of the data available for transmission in the PDCP includes the size of the PDCP Data PDU and the size of the PDCP Control PDU.

摘要: An information processing apparatus includes a receiver to receive data-packets, the data-packets generated by dividing a message into division-data and storing, for each of the division-data, one of the plurality of division data into one of the plurality of data packets, wherein each of the data-packets also includes a data value indicating a quantity of the division-data and data indicating whether or not the data-packet includes final division data corresponding to an end of the message, a memory, and a processor to store the division-data that is contained in a packet of the data-packets that are received, in the memory, and suppress the final division-data from being stored in the memory until the quantity of the data-packets received by the receiver equates to the data value indicating the quantity of the division-data, in a case where the final division-data is received earlier than any one of the other division-data.

摘要: Systems and methods for supporting inter subnet control plane protocol for consistent multicast membership and connectivity across multiple subnets in a high performance computing environment. In accordance with an embodiment, by associating a multicast group with an inter-subnet partition, and enforcing a dedicated router port for the multicast group, multicast loop avoidance can be provided for between connected subnets. Because only a single router port is selected as being capable of handling the MC packet, no other router port in the subnet can then pass a multicast packet back to the originating subnet.

摘要: Systems and methods for providing multicast group multicast local identifier (MLID) dynamic discovery on received multicast messages for a relevant multicast global identifier (MGID) in a high performance computing environment. By allowing InfiniBand (IB) clients to associate local queue pairs (QPs) with the MGID(s) of relevant multicast group(s) without requiring any join request to the subnet manager (SM)/subnet administration (SA), it is possible to receive relevant multicast (MC) messages without imposing the SM/SA overhead of a conventional multicast group join request. After receiving, at an end-node of the subnet, a multicast packet including a multicast global identifier and a multicast local identifier, the end-node can inspect the multicast packet to learn the multicast local identifier and include the learned multicast local identifier in the multicast group record at the end-node for the received multicast global identifier.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for splitting application messages in an IP (Internet Protocol) network, comprising the following steps: a) a node of the IP network, termed the first node, receives a message having to be transmitted to another node of the IP network, termed the second node; b) said first node compares the length of said message with the maximum transmission size MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) characterizing the path between said first node and said second node; and if said length is greater than the MTU, c) the first node splits the message into at least two segments, and inserts each respective segment into a respective data packet of length less than or equal to the MTU; d) the first node transmits said data packets to the second node; and e) the second node assembles said segments so as to reconstruct said message. Said method is noteworthy in that, said message being an application message: during said step c), the first node inserts into each of said data packets a so-called positioning information item specifying the relative position in the message of the segment inserted into this data packet; and during said step e), the second node reconstructs the message with the aid of said positioning information items. Application to IP networks using a non-connected transport protocol such as the UDP protocol.

摘要: A power circuit is added at a host that determines that a native protocol using a given lane within a tunneled environment has entered a low-power state and provides a throttle instruction to a router in the host. The router may then transmit on fewer lanes. The reduction in the number of lanes used reduces power consumption, thus preserving the value associated with the native protocol entering the low-power state.
