At that time, the transmission apparatus transmits information on a transmission method for and/or information on gamma correction for the HDR image data to the reception apparatus over the transmission path. The reception apparatus performs processing (decoding processing, gamma correction processing, and the like) on the received HDR image data, based on the information on the transmission method and/or the information on the gamma correction that are received. For example, the transmission apparatus receives from the reception apparatus the pieces of information on the transmission method and/or the gamma correction that the reception apparatus can support, selects the method that the reception apparatus can support, and thus uses the selected method.

The translated luminance value is based on a first luminance value for the pixel and a first translation matrix for the current frame of the video data stream. The video processor includes a filter configured to generate an output luminance value for the pixel based on the translated luminance value and a target translated luminance value for the pixel. The output luminance value may be based on a weighted average of the translated luminance value and the target translated luminance value using a first weighting factor. The video processor may include a first weighting factor generator configured to generate the first weighting factor based on luminance values of the current frame of the video stream.

摘要： A system and method of digital video editing simultaneously displays a plurality of source video windows on a screen, each window showing a digital source video stream. The user may select among the source video windows at any time while they are being shown. The selected digital source video stream appears in a record video window, and continues to run in real-time in both the selected source video window and the record video window. All windows continuously display real-time video streams. The user may continue to make selections among the source video windows as often as desired, and may also select transformations, or special effects, from an on-screen list. The video stream playing in the record window thus forms a digital user-arranged version of selected portions of the source video streams, plus transformations, as selected by the user. The user's selections are stored to permit subsequent playback of the digital user-arranged video stream in a playback window. A single digital audio stream, or selectable multiple digital audio streams, may accompany the source and user-arranged video streams.

Apparatus useful in the practice of this invention generally includes large energy collecting mirrors, an interferometer of the Michaelson-Morely type, a sensitive infrared detector, electronic data processing, and a device which records and/or displays the results of the determination(s). In a preferred apparatus, a "hot" mirror, a video camera, a computer and a video display unit are also employed.
