    摘要: A system includes a magnet for forming a magnetic field and a sensor between the magnet and an object having a circumferential surface. The object rotates around a rotation axis direction of the circumferential surface and displaces along the rotation axis direction, and an interaction between the magnet and a recess or projection portion of the circumferential surface of the object is configured to induce the magnetic field. The sensor outputs a first signal proportional to a first magnetic flux density in the rotation axis direction at a predetermined time, outputs a second signal proportional to a second magnetic flux density in a direction perpendicular to the circumferential surface of the object at the predetermined time, calculates an angle based on the first and the second magnetic flux density, and output a third signal proportional to the angle based on the first and the second magnetic flux density.

    摘要: A CVT 6 (FIG. 9) comprising of two substantially identical CVT 4's. Each CVT 4 comprises of two cones that are coupled by a transmission belt. The driving cones of the CVT 4's are mounted on a common shaft, and the driven cones of the CVT 4's are mounted on a common shaft. For each CVT 4, one of its cones is mounted on its shaft using an adjuster, which uses an indexing mechanism, that can lock or release the rotational position of its cone relative to the shaft it is mounted. Each CVT 4 has a tense side tensioning/support pulley and a slack side tensioning/support pulley (FIG. 6) which can provide and remove slack as needed to allow for axial position changing of a cone for all operating conditions of their CVT without breaking/excessively stretching a transmission belt.

    摘要: A variable speed drive of the type having opposed, and parallel-arranged, frusto-conical shaped rollers over which a flat endless belt is trained. The belt is shiftable axially along the length of the rollers to produce an infinitely variable drive between the input and output shafts. The drive mechanism is enclosed in a case and the drive is adjusted from the outside of the case. The belt is properly assembled during assembly by utilizing a belt of known size and arranging for the location of the tapered roller shafts in the case in the precise manner so that the belt is brought to its final proper tension when the second roller is assembled in its preselected openings in the case.

    摘要: This invention involves a spring operated, reversibly rotatable body having a surface on which a flexible, elongated object, e.g. a wire or a band, can be wound, said body being connected with a spring which is stretched by the rotation of the body during the unwinding of said elongated object. The improvement includes a transmission between the elongated object and the spring, said transmission having a gearing ratio which is varied during the rotation of the body. In a preferred embodiment, the transmission comprises two rotatable cones, said cones being connected by means of a traction wire which is wound on the surfaces of said cones. One of the cones is connected with the spring and the other with an output shaft.The aim of the improvement is to provide a means by which the tractive force caused by said spring in the elongated object during the rotation of said body will remain constant. The improvement is particularly useful in retractable safety belts to obtain a constant force in the belt strap during extension of the belt.
