    摘要: An electronic eyepiece includes a digital microdisplay and an electrically switchable light blocking mechanism configured to selectively transmit or block light transmitted along an optical path toward the digital microdisplay to protect the microdisplay from the risk of light focus damage. Further, a method of protecting a digital microdisplay of an electronic eyepiece from light focus damage includes determining a risk of light focus damage, and selectively opening or closing an optical path to the digital microdisplay responsive to the risk of light focus damage exceeding a predetermined risk threshold.

In the imaging apparatus of the present invention, exposure control unit 60 controls an exposure time of a live view image, which is acquired by the imaging device 20, such that the exposure time is the same as that in the actual imaging, whereby it is possible to check the live view image from an eyepiece lens 52 of a finder.

    摘要: A real-image variable-magnification viewfinder substantially consists of, in order from the object side: an objective lens system substantially consisting of a positive first lens, a negative second lens, a positive third lens, and a positive fourth lens; an erect optical system formed by a plurality of optical members; and a positive eyepiece lens system. The first lens and the third lens are fixed relative to the optical axis direction during magnification change, and the second lens and the fourth lens are moved in the optical axis direction during magnification change. All optical surfaces of all the optical members forming the erect optical system are planar surfaces. At least one of the optical members forming the erect optical system is made of a glass material. A predetermined conditional expression is satisfied.

    摘要: A camera viewfinder viewer accessory mountable on a camera includes an elongated body portion having first and second ends and a longitudinal axis extending from the first end to the second end. A light-transmitting passageway extends through the body portion from the first end to the second end. A connector is disposed adjacent to the first end. The body portion second end includes an angled face disposed at a generally 45° angle relative to the longitudinal axis. An eyepiece is connected to the body portion second end adjacent the angled face. The eyepiece has a longitudinal axis generally disposed at an angle that is 45 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis of the body portion. A viewfinder image is directed from the camera viewfinder along the longitudinal axis of the body portion, the image is redirected along the longitudinal axis of the eyepiece, to be viewed through the eyepiece.
