    Abstract: A particle trap system is provided, to resolve a problem of complex particle addressing in a conventional technology, and can be used in fields such as quantum computing. The particle trap system may include a trapping module, a first optical splitting module, and a first relative delay module. The trapping module is configured to trap at least two particles. The first optical splitting module is configured to split a received light beam into a first light beam and a second light beam. The first relative delay module is configured to adjust a delay amount for the first light beam and the second light beam to reach a first target particle, where an adjusted first light beam and an adjusted second light beam overlap at the first target particle, and the first target particle is at least one particle in the trapping module.

    Abstract: Apparatus, system, and method for providing an augmented reality (AR) display. The system includes a panel comprising: a first linear polarizer configured to allow light from an object to transmit through as a polarized light; and a liquid crystal layer disposed on the first linear polarizer and at an opposite side with respect to the object, the liquid crystal layer comprising an array of liquid crystal pixels corresponding to AR content, each pixel configured to modify the polarized light; eyeglasses worn by a user and configured to directly receive the modified polarized light, at least one lens of the eyeglasses comprising a second linear polarizer; at least one camera configured to acquire at least one image of the user to obtain a face position of the user; and a controller configured to render the AR content based on the face position.

    Abstract: The present disclosure related generally to techniques for improving the performance and efficiency of display systems, such as laser scan beam display systems or other types of display systems (e.g., micro-displays). Display systems of the present disclosure may include a polarization compensation optic, such as a spatially varying polarizer, that provides phase retardation that varies as a function of position, which provides polarization compensation to provide light that is well suited for a polarization sensitive optic of the display system, such as a waveguide-based optical system, a pancake optical system, a birdbath optical system, a coating-based optical system, etc. The display systems of the present disclosure may be components of head-mounted display systems, or other types of display systems.
