Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to transmitting communication signals are provided. A first wireless communication device performs a first LBT during a first time period for transmitting a first communication signal associated with a first priority. The first wireless communication device performs a second LBT during a second time period for transmitting a second communication signal associated with a second priority, wherein the first time period is at least partially overlapping with the second time period, and wherein the first priority is different from the second priority. The first wireless communication device communicates with a second wireless communication device, at least one of the first communication signal or the second communication signal based on at least one of the first LBT or the second LBT.

The UE may assign an HARQ process identifier, included in the first HARQ process identifier set, to a process instance associated with the first configured scheduling process and may assign an HARQ process identifier, included in the second HARQ process identifier set, to a process instance associated with the second configured scheduling process. Abstract: A periodic quiet interval is provided for base stations attempting to access a shared transmission medium in NR-U. The base station activates a quiet interval at a periodic interval and transmits on the medium based on the quiet interval. The base station may reduce a Tx power, not transmit, and/or may increase a minimum value of a contention window for BEB during the quiet interval. The base station may receive a request from a second base station to activate the quiet interval, and may determine if a Tx power of the base station is larger than the maximum Tx power of the second base station. The base station may also receive the request as relayed through a UE. The quiet interval can thus ameliorate a starvation effect of BEB in NR-U by allowing base stations with smaller Tx power greater opportunity to control the medium while maintaining BEB in NR-U.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a code block group (CBG) based HARQ retransmission process in which HARQ retransmission is performed based on CBG units. The CBG based HARQ process uses a CBG failure mask that can reduce the signaling overhead of CBG-based HARQ retransmissions. A base station can determine the error CBGs from different UEs that share a slot, and generate a CBG failure mask that capture all the CBGs NACKs from the UEs.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for rate-matching for a transmission by multiple transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states, such as a multiple transmission reception point (multi-TRP) transmission. A method by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving one downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a downlink transmission associated with multiple transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. The UE determines whether the downlink transmission is associated with one rate matching or is associated with a separate rate matching for each of the multiple TCI states. The UE derate matches the downlink transmission based on the determination.

Abstract: Methods and Apparatus are provided for downlink retransmission of Code Block Groups (CBGs) when CBG level ACK and NACK feedback is unreliable. A User Equipment (UE) transmits to a Base Station (BS) feedback indicating an Acknowledgement (ACK) or a Negative Acknowledgement (NACK) corresponding to each of received set of CBGs transmitted by the BS to the UE. The BS receives and decodes the feedback and transmits back to the UE information regarding a result of the decoding. The UE, based on the received information, determines whether the BS correctly received and decoded the ACK/NACK feedback, and in some cases, ACKs and NACKs corresponding to which CBGs were incorrectly decoded by the BS. The UE processes retransmitted CBGs received from the BS based on this determination.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods and apparatus of time-domain multiplexing (TDM) for reference signals (RS) and data using a modified cyclic prefix. A reference signal (RS) and data are multiplexed either in a single symbol or in two time consecutive symbols that respectively including the RS and data. The cyclic prefix (CP) is added to the single symbol using a portion of the RS or to a first symbol of the two time consecutive symbols using a portion of the RS. The CP may be copied from the RS or the end of the symbol, but not the data, in a manner that affords a virtual Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) of the RS and data before discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spreading is performed in a transceiver to provide lower peak to average power ratios and no Inter-symbol interference.
