Abstract:
A portable electronic device includes a main body, a cover and a transparent touch control section. The main body has a function display section. The cover is pivotally connected with the main body and selectively folded against or unfolded away from the main body. The transparent touch control section is disposed on the cover. When the cover is folded against the main body, the function display section is visible through the transparent touch control section.
Abstract:
The invention provides a data discard signalling procedure in a wireless communication system. If data is discarded by the transmitter, the transmitter needs to notify the receiver of the discard. A shortened move receiving window super-field is used to request the receiver to move its reception window and optionally to indicate the set of discarded RLC SDUs, as a result of an RLC SDU discard in the sender. A move receiving window acknowledgement super-field acknowledges the reception of a MRW SUFI. If various criteria are met, the SDU discard with explicit signalling procedure can be efficiently terminated resulting in increased transmission throughput. Utilizing the data discard signalling procedure of the present invention, transmission throughput is increased and the transmission performance is improved.
Abstract:
An input apparatus for a computer system comprises an image object, a prime motion detector, and a receiver. The prime motion detector has an image detection unit, a G-sensor, a mouse module, a switch unit, and a micro control unit (MCU). The image detection unit is used for detecting the image object. The switch is coupled to the G-sensor, the image detection unit and the mouse module. By such means, the switch unit can select to transmit an output of the mouse module, or transmit outputs of the G-sensor and the image detection unit to the MCU according to a selection signal. The MCU encodes an output of the switch unit to generate a detecting data to the receiver, and the receiver transmits the detecting data to the computer system for operating the computer system.
Abstract:
A board card having a control circuit includes a first substrate and an electrical fan. The first substrate has a heat source and the electrical fan is disposed on the first substrate. The electrical fan includes a revolving spindle, a plurality of blades and a LED module. The revolving spindle is disposed on the first substrate and rotates about an axis. The blades are joined with the revolving spindle. The LED module is electrically connected to the control circuit, wherein when the revolving spindle drives the blades rotate, the light-emitting direction of the LED module is along a radial direction of the revolving spindle.
Abstract:
A firmware recovery method for a computer system including the following steps is provided. The computer system enters a firmware recovery mode. It is determined whether a display unit initial firmware is stored in a non-volatile memory. While the display unit initial firmware is not completely stored in the non-volatile memory, the display unit initial firmware is read from a storage apparatus for initializing a display unit. The display unit displays a firmware recovery hint. A complete initial firmware is read from the storage apparatus and then stored to the non-volatile memory. Finally, the computer system is turned on again.
Abstract:
A data protection method for an electronic device having a storage medium is provided, wherein the storage medium includes a plurality of partitions and a partition table. In the data protection method, a partition entry point and a partition data corresponding to the specific partition are captured and sent to an external storage device when the electronic device enters a shutdown process. Then, the partition entry point is deleted from the partition table and the partition data is removed from the storage medium. When the electronic device is turned on, a user has to provide the corresponding external storage device to restore the partition entry point and the partition data back to the storage medium. Thereby, personal data stored in the storage medium is protected and accordingly data security is ensured.
Abstract:
An electronic device including a first display module, a second display module, a sensor, and a controller is provided. The second display module is independent from the first display module. The second display module and the first display module are located on the same surface of the electronic device. The sensor is used to detect an included angle between the electronic device and a basic axis and generates a display-switching signal in response to a result of detection. The controller is electrically connected to the sensor for receiving the display-switching signal and controllingly drives the first display module or the second display module for displaying according to the display-switching signal.
Abstract:
A management method for a USB includes the step of detecting number of electronic devices connected to USB interfaces in a first group, and the USB interfaces in the first group are coupled to a first control terminal. Number of electronic devices connected to USB interfaces in a second group is detected, and the USB interfaces in the second group are coupled to a second control terminal. A third group is provided, and USB interfaces therein are switched to be coupled to the first or second control terminal. Number of electronic devices connected to the USB interfaces in the third group is further detected in the invention. The USB interfaces in the third group are determined to be coupled to the first or second control terminal according the numbers of the electronic devices connected to the first, second, and third groups. The working performance of the USB is improved.
Abstract:
An air conditioner includes an air conditioning module and a wireless access module. The air conditioning module has at least one blade for controlling the wind direction of the air conditioning module. The wireless access module has at least one antenna. The antenna is disposed on the blade.
Abstract:
A height adjusting mechanism suitable for a keyboard is provided, and the keyboard is placed on a flat surface and has a casing. The height adjusting mechanism includes a fixing piece, a cylinder, a first gear and a second gear. The fixing piece is disposed on the casing and has a container and at least a supporting part that extends into the container. The cylinder has at least a spiral guide on its sidewall and the supporting part slides along the spiral guide when the cylinder rotates. In addition, the first gear is assembled to the cylinder so that the first gear and the cylinder can rotate simultaneously. The second gear and the first gear are meshed with each other so that the second gear can drive and rotate the first gear to adjust the relative distance between the casing and the bottom of the cylinder.
