Abstract:
Example embodiments disclosed herein relate to enabling or disabling a port by writing to a reset write-once register. A boot process for a device is initiated. The reset write-once register is set, during the boot process, to disable or enable the port.
Abstract:
A dual-band circularly polarized antenna is disclosed, which includes a ground metal plate, a dielectric substrate, a first microstrip radiation portion and a second microstrip radiation portion. The dielectric substrate is formed on the ground metal plate. The first microstrip radiation portion is formed on the dielectric substrate and has at least one pair of symmetric truncated corners. The second microstrip radiation portion is formed on the dielectric substrate and includes a plurality of radiation units. Each of the plurality of radiation units is extended from the first microstrip radiation portion along a first direction.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a signal detection module and a power adjustment module. The signal detection module detects a received signal quality of a first wireless communication system. The power adjustment module is coupled to the signal detection module, and adjusts an output power in a second wireless communication system according to the received signal quality, so as to enlarge service coverage of the electronic apparatus in the second wireless communication system.

Abstract:
A method and system for initiating a display chip in a computer system is provided, and the initiating system includes a non-volatile memory, an external storage media and a memory unit. A BIOS which is able to initiate the external storage media is stored in the non-volatile memory. First, a backup file is loaded into the memory unit from the initiated external storage media. Then, an initiating program is fetched from the backup file. Finally, the initiating program is executed to initiate a display chip of a computer system.
Abstract:
In order to record a BIOS update operation, a non-volatile memory space is configured in a computer system. When the BIOS of the computer are updated, an update log is generated and stored into the non-volatile memory space when updating the BIOS.
Abstract:
The invention provides a computer system, which includes a motherboard, a nonvolatile memory and a chipset provided on the motherboard. The nonvolatile memory stores a first BIOS and a second BIOS. The chipset has an external flag having a first state and a second state corresponding to the first BIOS and second BIOS, respectively. When the external flag is in the first state, the motherboard is booted by the first BIOS. When the external flag is in the second state, the motherboard is booted by the second BIOS. When one BIOS is booted according to the state of the external flag, if the BIOS is damaged, the other complete BIOS is booted and is used to update the damaged BIOS program.

Abstract:
Example embodiments disclosed herein relate to selectively connecting an interconnect bus to an expansion slot. A first chip is connected to a first interconnect bus. A second chip is connected to a second interconnect bus. A switch selectively connects the first interconnect bus to one of a plurality of expansion slots.
Abstract:
A channel selection method and electronic device thereof are provided. In the channel selection method, usable channels of a second communication protocol are selected according to a used channel number of a first communication protocol, and one of the usable channels is selected according to the numbers of wireless access points, thereby preventing or alleviating the interference between the first communication protocol and the second communication protocol.
