Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for radio resource allocation to support User Equipment-to-Network (UE-to-Network) relaying. The network node establishes a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection with a remote UE via a relay UE. The network node transmits a first RRC message to the remote UE via the relay UE, wherein the first RRC message includes a Uu radio bearer configuration and a Sidelink (SL) Radio Link Control (RLC) bearer configuration associated with a data radio bearer (DRB) or a signalling radio bearer (SRB) and wherein the network node is allowed to include a first field used to indicate a configuration for UE autonomous resource selection for sidelink communication transmission in the first RRC message and the network node is not allowed to include a second field used to indicate a configuration for UE to transmit sidelink communication based on network scheduling in the first RRC message.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE receives one or more uplink grants scheduling a first uplink transmission and a second uplink transmission on a first serving cell. The first uplink transmission is associated with a first Timing Advance (TA). The second uplink transmission is associated with a second TA. The first uplink transmission at least partially overlaps with the second uplink transmission in time domain. Based on a comparison of a TA difference, between the first TA and the second TA, with a first threshold, the UE transmits at least one of the first uplink transmission or the second uplink transmission.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a network. Abstract: A method and device are disclosed from the perspective of a relay UE. In one embodiment, the relay UE establishes a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection with a network node. The relay UE also transmits a Layer 2. Identity (L2ID) of the relay UE to the network node. Furthermore, the relay UE receives a local UE Identity (ID) for a remote UE and a L2ID of the remote UE from the network node. In addition, the relay UE establishes a PC5 connection with the remote UE. The relay UE further receives a first RRC Reconfiguration Complete message from the remote UE. The relay UE also transmits the first RRC Reconfiguration Complete message to the network node, wherein the first RRC Reconfiguration Complete message is included in an adaptation layer Protocol Data Unit (PDU) for transmission and the local UE ID for the remote UE is included in a header of the adaptation layer PDU.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided to avoid unintended UE state transition, and the risk of packet loss due to unintended UE state transition is reduced. The device monitors and receives an information from physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on an active BWP, wherein the PDCCH is addressed to a group-common RNTI (GC-RNTI) used for multicast or broadcast service (MBS), and wherein the information indicates downlink assignment on the active BWP and the device starts or restarts the timer.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first UE (User Equipment) to indicate a network node for releasing SLRB (Sidelink Radio Bearer) or SL-DRB (Sidelink-Data Radio Bearer). In one embodiment, the method includes transmitting a first RRC (Radio Resource Control) message to a network node for requesting sidelink resource, wherein the first RRC message includes a PFI (PC5 QoS Flow Identifier) of a PC5 QoS (Quality of Service) flow in a first list of PC5 QoS flows. The method also includes receiving a second RRC message from the network node, wherein the second RRC message configures a SLRB and maps the PC5 QoS flow to the SLRB. The method further includes transmitting a third RRC message to the network node if the PC5 QoS flow is deactivated or released, wherein the PFI of the PC5 QoS flow is removed from a second list of PC5 QoS flows included in the third RRC message.
