Abstract:
Delay judgment systems and methods are provided. The system comprises an input device and a processing module. The processing module receives and buffers a plurality of inputs via the input device within a specific time period, where each input comprises an input property. After the specific time period, the processing module performs a determination according to the input properties of the respective inputs.
Abstract:
A monopole antenna apparatus with dual purposes of being a multi-band mobile phone and a global positioning system. The antenna is formed on a substrate, and the substrate comprises a flat surface, a cambered surface, a first radiating metal line, including one high-frequency resonant path and one low-frequency resonant path, a second radiating metal line, a first feeding point, and a second feeding point. The high-frequency resonant path and the low-frequency resonant path for receiving and transmitting the signals of the multi-band mobile phone system are formed on the flat surface and the cambered surface separately, and both are connected to the first feeding point. The second radiating metal line for receiving the signals of the global positioning system is formed on the cambered surface and is connected to the second feeding point.
Abstract:
Image capture systems and methods for use in a picture-taking device. The system comprises an image sensor and a processing unit. The image sensor captures at least one picture. The processing unit determines whether a specific behavior exists in the picture. If so, the processing unit drives the device to perform a photography process to take an image via the image sensor.
Abstract:
A battery holder (210) for mounting a button-type battery (200) on a printed circuit board (220) is provided. The battery holder comprises a resilient electrode plate (212), a ring (214) and a battery cap (216). The resilient electrode plate is soldered to positive contacts (222) of the printed circuit board. A positive electrode of the battery is put on and electrically connects with the resilient electrode plate to thereby connect electrically with the positive contacts on the printed circuit board. The ring is soldered to negative contacts (224) of the printed circuit board and surrounds the resilient electrode plate. The battery is accommodated within the ring. The battery cap is fixed and electrically connected to the ring and covers the battery. The battery cap also electrically contacts with a negative electrode (202) on a top of the battery. The negative electrode and positive electrode of the battery are separated by an insulation (206).
Abstract:
A handheld electronic device (300) mainly comprises a cover (310), a main body (320), a monitor (328) mounted on the main body, a keyboard (318) mounted on the cover and a hinge structure (330) to which pivot portions (312), (322) of the cover and main body are hinged. The pivot portions have teeth (314), (324) on circumferential peripheries thereof. The teeth mesh with each other. The cover can rotate for 360 degrees relative to the main body thereby moving from a first position to a second position, wherein at the first position, the cover abuts against a top surface (326) of the main body, and at the second position, the cover abuts against a bottom surface of the main body. The trajectory of the cover during its rotation relative to the main body follows a predetermined path.
Abstract:
A handheld electronic device includes a display body, an input body and at least a track. The input body and the display body are overlapped with each other. The track is disposed between the display body and the input body, wherein the extending direction of the track is substantially neither perpendicular to nor parallel to the longitudinal direction or the traverse direction of the display body or the input body, and the track enables the display body to switch between at a first position and at a second position relative to the input body. The traverse direction of the display body is substantially parallel to the traverse direction of the input body when the input body is at the first position, and the longitudinal direction of the display body is substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the input body when the input body is at the second position.
Abstract:
A chip recorder is disposed on a circuit board for writing a chip, wherein the chip comprises a contact and the circuit board comprises a contact. The chip recorder comprises a chip housing, a base, a bracket, a push finger and an elastic member. The chip housing is detachably secured on the circuit board for accommodating the chip. The base is detachably mounted to the chip housing and disposed between the chip housing and the circuit board wherein the base comprises at least one probe and a first end of the probe is electrically connected to the contact of the circuit board. The bracket is moveably connected to the chip housing and the push finger is pivotally connected to the bracket and moveably connected to the chip housing. The elastic member is disposed between the bracket and the chip housing to provide a resilient force against the bracket and the chip housing, wherein the resilient force allows the bracket and the push finger to move relative to the chip housing, and allows the push finger to abut against the chip to electrically connect a second end of the probe and the contact of the chip, and when the bracket is pressed toward the chip hosing, the push finger is moved to release the chip from the chip housing.
Abstract:
A circuit for an integrated interface of a PDA and a wireless communication system is suitable for integrating the PDA and the wireless communication system. The circuit includes a first serial port has two terminals, in which one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the PDA, and another one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the wireless communication system. The first serial port is used to bi-directionally transmit a control signal between the PDA and the wireless communication system. A second serial port has two terminals, in which one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the PDA, and another one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the wireless communication system. The second serial port is used to bi-directionally transmit data between the PDA and the wireless communication system.
Abstract:
A battery charging method for a device that has a PDA, a wireless communication system, and a power system having a battery and is charged via an external charging cable. The device further has an external charging circuit for charging the battery. The wireless communication system has an internal charging circuit for charging the battery. The battery charging method includes performing current charging to the battery via the external charging circuit by using the external charging cable; turning on the wireless communication system; and turning on the internal charging circuit for charging after the wireless communication system is turned on.
