Abstract:
A micro-resonator of a single structure which outputs signals of two resonance frequencies of mutually opposite phases and in which different resonance frequencies are adjusted independently is provided. The micro-resonator includes: an oscillation portion 6 sustained with a gap by support portions 8 [8A, 8B] and an input electrode 3 and an output electrode 4 that become lower electrodes facing the oscillation portion 6 across the gap, in which the input electrode 3 and the output electrode 4 are disposed to face each other along a line intersecting the oscillation portion 6, the oscillation portion 6 generates torsional oscillation and flexural oscillation, and output signals of two resonance frequencies close to each other based on different resonance modes have mutually different phases by 180°.
Abstract:
A gaming device having a primary game and a secondary game is provided. The gaming device includes a primary game, such as blackjack or 21 operable on a wager by a player, and an optional secondary game that is operable on a secondary game wager by a player. After placing a secondary game wager and satisfying certain criteria in the primary game, one or more players are provided with a secondary game card to be used in the secondary game. The secondary game is resolved after a player has accumulated a plurality of secondary game cards over the course of several sequentially played rounds of the primary game.
Abstract:
A gaming device and method having a selection award revealing bonus game, where during the primary game the player is awarded indicators. The gaming device reveals the values associated with selections in the bonus game, and the bonus game is initiated upon the player accumulating a predetermined combination of indicators. The player is allowed to pick the selections which the associated values have been previously revealed to the player and the gaming device provides awards associated with the picked selections to the player.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for controlling the emission power of an especially mobile emission station (MT). The aim of the invention is to keep the emission power to a minimum. To this end, a reception station (AP) which receives the emitted data (c1) as reception data (c1*) determines the measuring values of the same, and sends them to the emission station (MT) via a secure connection (DL) which is not, or is only slightly, affected by disturbances. The measuring values (c1*) depend on the data (c1) transferred by the signal.
Abstract:
A functional molecular element whose functions can be controlled by an electric field based on a new principle. A Lewis base molecule (14) with positive permittivity anisotropy or a dipole moment in the major axis direction of the molecule is disposed, via a metal ion (3) that can act as a Lewis acid, in a pendant-like form on a key molecule (2) in the form of a line or film that has a conjugated system and exhibits conductivity, thereby forming a functional molecular element 1 that can realize a function where the conformation changes due to the application of an electric field. The conductive key molecule (2) and the Lewis base molecule (14) form a complex with the metal ion (3). When an electric field is applied in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the paper in FIG. 1(b), for example, the Lewis base molecule (14) performs a 90° “neck twisting” movement with the up-down direction in the drawing as the axis. Also, when an electric field is applied in the up-down direction in the drawing as shown in FIG. 1(c), the Lewis base molecule (14) performs a “see-saw” movement with the direction perpendicular to the plane of the paper as the axis, thereby switching the conductivity of the conductive key molecule (2).
Abstract:
A pneumatic cylinder designed to convert compressed air into mechanical output is disclosed. The pneumatic cylinder includes a piston and rod assembly with supporting components coaxially disposed and arranged to achieve a linear mechanical force in accordance with a differential pressure across the piston. A cylindrical sleeve, secured to end caps on both openings, encircles the piston and rod assembly and helps guide the piston during travel. Additionally, a manifold, which serves as a conduit for airflow between each individual cylinder volume and an external air control device, is disposed such that the cylindrical sleeve and end caps are nested, in a concentric manner, within the manifold. This arrangement results in a dynamic relationship between airflow and differential pressure that is conducive to precision force and motion control.
Abstract:
A computer workstation-associated call handler uses hooking and sub-classing techniques to modify actions executed by an underlying call handler application program to automatically trigger various call handler actions. These actions may include playback of pre-recorded personal response type phrases or other pre-defined actions at various instances during a call, in response to the call agent's interactions with personalized response system-based, and forms-based software in the course of servicing telephone calls. This obviates the need to change the source code of the target application.
Abstract:
A gaming device having a transformable wild symbol or card on a set of reels or a transformable wild card in a set of cards, wherein the transformable wild symbol or card provides a signal to a player through a wild indicator or a non-wild indicator. The wild indicator indicates that the transformable wild symbol or card is in a wild state. The non-wild indicator indicates that the transformable wild symbol or card is in a non-wild state. In a wild state, the transformable wild symbol or card acts as a wild symbol or card on a set of reels, or a wild card.
