Abstract:
An apparatus for processing spread spectrum signals digitized at a predetermined sampling frequency. The apparatus includes an intermediate frequency signal preprocessing unit, a plurality of parallel block integrators. The intermediate frequency signal preprocessing unit is capable of generating pre-integration results based on an input signal and local reference signals at a predetermined rate. The pre-integration results Produced by the intermediate frequency signal preprocessing unit are grouped into sets of pre-integration results. Each set of the pre-integration results contains a predetermined number of pre-integration results. The plurality of parallel block integrators is in communication with the intermediate frequency signal preprocessing unit. Each of the block integrators is capable of receiving, in succession, sets of a predetermined number of pre-integration results, and for each set of predetermined number of pre-integration results, each of the block integrators is capable of performing a plurality of partial correlations based on the set of the predetermined number of pre-integration results and a plurality of shifted segments of a pseudorandom noise code until a next set of pre-integration results are received by the block integrator.
Abstract:
A system and method for automatically upgrading the firmware of a display without user interaction, wherein a new version of firmware is downloaded and stored at a host computer. The host computer monitors all communications between the host computer and an external source to determine when new or updated firmware has been uploaded. If the host computer includes a graphic card, the display is checked to determine whether it is active. If the display is active, communication over a communication cable located between the host computer and display is established, and the new version of firmware is uploaded to memory located in the display. The host computer forwards the firmware over the communication cable as at least one signal component, such as data and clock signals, which is transmitted from a graphic card located in the host computer to a graphic processor located in the display.
Abstract:
A method for forming insulator filled, shallow trench isolation regions, with rounded corners, has been developed. The process features the use of a polymer coated opening, in an insulator layer, used as a mask to define the shallow trench region in silicon. After completion of the shallow trench formation the polymer spacers are removed, exposing a region of unetched semiconductor, that had been protected by the polymer spacers, during the shallow trench dry etching procedure. The sharp corner, at the intersection between the shallow trench and the unetched region of semiconductor, is then converted to a rounded corner, via thermal oxidation of exposed silicon surfaces. The polymer spacers also eliminate the top corner wraparound.
Abstract:
A digital immunoassay detection and analysis method for precise quantification of proteins are provided. The digital immunoassay detection and analysis method for precise quantification of proteins includes the steps of: (s1) providing an aqueous phase mixture; (s2) mixing the aqueous phase mixture with a chromogenic substrate and an oil phase to form a first mixture; (s3) shearing of the first mixture to form a sheared water in oil second mixture; and (s4) measuring the first micro droplet to obtain the number of first droplets and obtain the quantitative detection result of protein. The second mixture contains a first micro droplet and a second micro droplet, The first micro droplet is a micro droplet containing a positive signal complex. The second micro droplet is a micro droplet containing a negative signal complex.
Abstract:
A mid-voltage variable-frequency driving system and a total harmonic distortion compensation control method are provided in this invention. The mid-voltage variable-frequency driving system includes a total harmonic distortion compensation unit. The total harmonic distortion compensation unit is used to perform an optimal adjustment on a reactive component reference value of a grid-side phase current, such that a harmonic component of the grid-side phase current may be reduced and a power factor of a three-phase switch-mode rectifier module within the mid-voltage variable-frequency driving system may be maintained.
Abstract:
A method includes collecting state of health (SOH) data and usage data from a plurality of vehicles. A peer group is identified among the vehicles. A vehicle health prognosis is generated for each vehicle of the peer based on the collected SOH and usage data. The vehicles of the peer group are ranked based on the generated vehicle health prognosis and the rank is reported to an output device that is associated with each vehicle or with a user of each vehicle. If evaluation of the ranking indicates that the health prognosis of a vehicle of the peer group is improvable by modifying vehicle usage, an alert is issued to a user of that vehicle.
Abstract:
A zero-crossing-based analog-to-digital converter having current mismatch correction capability, that can raise resolution, energy efficiency, and sampling rate of a fully differential zero-crossing circuit, is realized through a 90 nm CMOS technology. The circuit is used mainly to correct offset error, to use a current supply separation technology and a digital correction mechanism to correct mismatch among a plurality of current supplies.
