Abstract:
A Network Address Register (NAR) is a routing device for use in a GSM telephone system. The NAR receives network messages and determines the network address of the appropriate network elements (network items) that is the destination of the message. The NAR allows subscribers and network elements of the GSM telephone system to be assigned independently. Existing methods of assigning subscribers and network elements using fixed association, such as telephone number blocks, are eliminated.
Abstract:
A method of cooling the flow in radial gaps formed between rotors and stators turbo machines is provided. The method includes the step of using water as a cooling fluid for the stator part adjacent to the radial gap. To this end, either at least one recess is formed in the interior of the stator part adjacent to the radial gap or at least one cavity is arranged at the stator part. The recess or the cavity is connected to both a feed line and a discharge line for the cooling fluid.
Abstract:
A burner arrangement (20) for a gas turbine comprises an interior space (22) enclosed by a casing (23), in which interior space (22) at least one burner (21) is arranged, and into which interior space (22) in each case a jet (26, 27) of a gaseous medium, in particular air, is sprayed through at least two nozzle openings (24, 25) against the direction of flow of the burner (21) and along the inner wall (23a) of the casing (23) which jets (26, 27), guided by the inner wall (23a), meet one another from opposite directions and combine to form a secondary flow (28) flowing off perpendicularly from the inner wall (23a). In such a burner arrangement, the flow is stabilized and evened out by virtue of the fact that, to establish the impingement point of the jets (26, 27), a dividing plate (29) arranged in the flow path of the jets (26, 27) and disposed essentially perpendicularly to the inner wall (23a) is provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a highly reactive, high-purity, free-flowing and dust-free lithium sulfide powder having an average particle size between 250 and 1,500 μm and BET surface areas between 1 and 100 m2/g. The invention, furthermore, relates to a process for its preparation, wherein in a first step, lithium hydroxide monohydrate is heated in a temperature-controlled unit to a reaction temperature between 150° C. and 450° C. in the absence of air, and an inert gas is passed over or through it, until the residual water of crystallization content of the formed lithium hydroxide is less than 5 wt. % and in a second step, the anhydrous lithium hydroxide formed in the first step is mixed, overflowed or traversed by a gaseous sulfur source from the group consisting of hydrogen sulfide, elemental sulfur, carbon disulfide, mercaptans or sulfur nitrides.
Abstract:
The application relates to a charging station for electric vehicles, comprising a cable holding device with a cable guided over a first deflection unit and a second deflection unit having two ends for holding two charging cables. The first end of the rope is connected to a first charging cable of the charging station and the further end of the rope is connected to a further charging cable of the charging station. At least one weight element is operatively connected to the rope in such a way that the charging cables in an unused condition of the charging cables are held so that there is a distance between a ground surface and each part of the charging cables.
Abstract:
In a method, a charge control signal indicative of a maximum current value with which an electric vehicle is to be charged is determined. A relay control signal indicative of an opening and/or closing of at least two relays comprised by a charging point is determined. The relay control signal is determined at least partially based on the charge control signal. The determined relay control signal is output to at least one of the at least two relays, and the determined charge control signal is output to the electric vehicle. Further, an apparatus, a charging point and a system are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An electromotive drive for furniture, includes a power supply device, a manual control, and a control device. The power supply device has an disconnecting unit that can be controlled by means of a control line, the electrical control signal of said control line being able to be modified by a switching contact of the manual control such that, when the manual control has not been actuated, the power supply device can be switched into the “disconnection” operating state, said disconnecting unit being connected to a signal feedback arrangement of a control circuit of the power supply device and being integrated in a path of said signal feedback arrangement, or said disconnecting unit being set in, or placed on, an input path or an output path of the control device.
Abstract:
Subject of the present invention is an in vitro method for the alternative assessment of peak oxygen consumption (VO2) for a subject not having a heart failure by measuring Pro-Endothelin-1 (ProET-1) or fragments thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of operating a liquid ring compressor having an impeller installed eccentrically in a compressor body, with gas being supplied to the liquid ring compressor on a suction side and gas being discharged from the liquid ring compressor on a pressure side. A liquid ring is generated in the liquid ring compressor on the inside of the compressor body by rotation of the impeller. Chambers are formed between blades of the impeller and the liquid ring and gas is drawn into these. The gas is compressed in the chambers which become smaller from the suction side to the pressure side as a result of the rotation of the eccentrically mounted impeller. The compressed gas is ejected on the pressure side. An ionic liquid is used as service liquid for generation of the liquid ring.
