Abstract:
A cable connector assembly (100) comprises an insulative housing, a number of contacts (2) received in the insulative housing, a printed circuit board (3) electrically connected with the contacts, a metallic shell (4) enclosing the insulative housing, and a cable. The contacts have signal contacts and grounding contacts. The printed circuit board defines a number of first conductive pads soldering with the contacts and a number of second conductive pads. The cable is soldering with the second conductive pads of the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board also has at least one third conductive pad (33) electrically connected with the grounding contact, and the metallic shell has at least one extension portion (423) connected with the third conductive pad. The extension portion is curved and extends into a U-shaped receiving portion (422) of the metallic shell.
Abstract:
A cable assembly comprises a housing including an upper cover and a lower cover assembled with each other and a pair of first and second printed circuit boards (PCBs) received in the housing and sandwiched between the upper and lower cover. The upper cover defines a number of protruding portions formed therein. Each of the protruding portion defines two steps thereon. The first and second PCBs are spaced apart from each other along a vertical direction by the two steps of each of the protruding portions. The first and second PCBs respectively define a plurality of first and second openings cooperating with corresponding protruding portions.
Abstract:
A plug connector comprises: a housing and a releasing mechanism mounted on the housing and comprising a pulling portion and a latching member, the latching member defining a latching portion for latching a complementary connector, the pulling portion having a groove and the latching member having an ear portion engaged with the groove, the ear portion being able to rise out of the groove in response to a rearward movement of the pulling portion to move the latching portion from a latched position to a released position.

Abstract:
A low profile connector having a first mating slot and a second mating slot vertically stacked above and backwardly offseted from the first mating slot, and a complementary electrical plug. The electrical plug has a first mating card and a second mating card horizontally stacked above the first mating card forwardly offseted from the first mating card. The electrical connector is matable with an existing SFP or QSFP plug, and the first mating slot are used to receive a front card edge of the existing SFP or QSFP plug.
Abstract:
A receptacle connector (100) and a plug connector having a paddle board (800) mate with each other along a mating direction. The receptacle connector includes a housing (1) defining a slot (224), and a pair of first groups of terminals secured in the housing and a second group of terminals. The first group of terminals includes a first terminal (221) having a first contact portion (2211) disposed at a first side of the slot (224), a second terminal (222) having a second contact portion (2221) and a third terminal (223) having a third contact portion (2231) disposed at a second side of the slot. The first contact portion is positioned between the second contact portion and the third contact portion along the mating direction. The second group of terminals include a fourth terminal (211) and a fifth terminal (212).

Abstract:
An electrical connector (100) adapted for being mounted on a mother board (900) includes a housing and a number of contact modules (21, 22) each having a wafer (210, 220) and a number of terminals insert molded with the wafer. The terminals include an upper terminal (211, 221) having an upper contact portion (2111, 2211), and a lower contact terminal (212, 222) having a lower contact portion (2121, 2221). The upper contact portion and the lower contact portion are separated from each other along a vertical direction to define a slot (214, 224) therebetween. The upper terminal and the lower contact terminal are secured in the wafer at two positions remote from each other along a mating direction perpendicular to the vertical direction, with the upper contact portion and the lower contact portion approaching close to each other along the mating direction.
Abstract:
A plug connector (100) mating with a complementary connector has a housing (1) defining a latching recess (117), a cover (3) and a releasing mechanism including a puller (5) and a latch (4) operable by the puller. The latch has a latching portion (42). The latching portion includes a resisting portion (423) for engaging the cover and a claw (424) in front of the resisting portion and projecting toward a first direction. The resisting portion, in response to a rearward movement of the puller, is movable to engage the cover and to pivot the claw from a latched position to a released position where the claw is received in the latching recess along a second direction opposite to the first direction.
