A means (93) for obtaining a value of a present, unbiased noise rise measure, bases its function on the measure representing a long term behaviour of the values of the biased noise rise measure. A corresponding method is also disclosed.

Information on at least the total estimated neighbor cell interference power and the own cell power for frequency subsets of tones ft is signalled to neighboring cells for calculating a vector of impact values describing the interference impact of transmissions in a first impacting cell on respective impacted neighbor cells. The neighbor cell interference impact caused by a resource allocation in a first cell is estimated by help of the pre-calculated impact values such that resources are allocated to cause a minimized interference impact on said neighboring cells.

    摘要: A received total wideband power (61A) in a wireless communications system is measured a number of times during a time interval. Preferably, also code powers ((C/I)i) are measured, directly or indirectly. A probability distribution of a first power quantity (63A, 63B), typically total received power is estimated from the set of measurements, preferably using Kalman filtering techniques, and preferably also a probability distribution of a second power quantity (62A, 62B) related to noise and interference signals. A conditional probability distribution of a noise rise measure to be determined is based at least on the probability distribution of the total power (63A, 63B). From that conditional probability distribution, a value of the noise rise measure is calculated. In a preferred embodiment, the noise rise measure is based on a quotient between total power and a noise floor, and the conditional probability distribution of the noise rise is therefore based on a conditional probability distribution of noise floor quantity (64). The conditional probability distribution of the noise floor quantity (64) is in turn based on the probability distribution of the extreme value of a second power quantity (62A, 62B) related to noise and interference signals and a prior determined probability distribution of a noise power floor.

The civic address information may comprise a data structure including textual Information Elements such as apartment or office number, street number, street name, city, state, postal code, and the like. A positioning method is defined comprising performing a civic address lookup to obtain a location in civic address format for an identified node, based upon information about the identified node's serving (or associated) node and neighbor nodes. Signaling is defined to request the civic address positioning method, to exchange capabilities, to communicate location information using a civic address format, report a positioning failure and optionally the failure cause, and the like. Location information may be translated between a civic address format and a 3GPP or 3GPP2 positioning format. The positioning method and associated signaling are particularly advantageous in indoor environments, where conventional positioning methods fare poorly or fail altogether.

    摘要: High precision UE position estimates derived by OTDOA positioning in an LTE network are provided to other networks (e.g., WCDMA and/or GSM), along with inter-RAT measurements performed on the other networks, to support fingerprinted positioning databases in the other networks. Signaling is provided enabling LTE UE position estimates to be used as reference points in the fingerprinting database in each of GSM control plane AECID positioning, GSM user plane AECID positioning, WCDMA control plane AECID positioning, and WCDMA user plane AECID positioning. In support thereof, inter-RAT measurement supporting the population of databases in WCDMA and GSM, using fingerprints and reference measurements in LTE; the use of OTDOA positioning to generate the LTE UE position estimates, and the required signaling are disclosed. The AECID databases in WCDMA and GSM networks do not have own-network serving cells at the top hierarchical level, since the inter-RAT measurements are performed in LTE.

The power control signal unit provides power control signals intended for the power control over the channel. A warper unit warps the power control signals by a first filter. A quantizer quantizes the warped power control signals, which are transferred to another node in the wireless communication system. The receiving node comprises a dewarper, dewarping the received signals by a second filter. The power control of the wireless signal channel is performed based on the dewarped power control signal. The filters are linear filters arranged for reducing an influence of quantization. The second filter is an inverse filter with respect to the first filter. The filters are preferably adapted by adaptors.
