Abstract:
An airbag restraint for an automotive vehicle includes generally circular front and rear panels, and an inflator attached to the rear panel and acting through an inflator aperture formed in the rear panel. At least one internally tethered section extends laterally along a chord of the front panel at a position at or near the projected location of the inflator. The internally tethered section is defined and shaped by more than one laterally extending tether extending between the front and rear panels of the airbag.
Abstract:
A light module includes a printed circuit board, a plurality of lamps and a connector. The printed circuit board has a conductive wire surface. Each lamp has a connecting portion electrically connected to the printed circuit board. The connector is installed between the printed circuit board and the lamp for electrically connecting the connecting portion and the printed circuit board.
Abstract:
A diffusion assembly includes a diffuser, an optical film and at least one hanging element. The optical film includes at least one hole inserted by the hanging element. The hanging element is located on the diffuser for engaging with the at least one hole of the optical film. A backlight module comprises a frame, a diffuser and an optical film. The frame comprises at least one hanging element. Both the diffuser and optical film comprise at least one hole for connecting to the hanging element on the frame.
Abstract:
Compositions, kits and methods are provided for Interferon analogs in order to promote general health or for therapeutic treatment of diseases. Human interferon analogs are made by fusion of interferon with human serum albumin. The bio-assay shows that the interferon analogs with the same cell protection against viral attack have 3-10 times longer acting function than interferon in vivo. These novel long acting interferon analogs can be used in treatment of patients with viral infection, such as SARS virus, HIV, HCV, HBV, or HAV, and the cancer diseases, such as leukemia and malignant melanoma. They also have a 3-5 times longer shelf-life compared with interferon.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for identifying nucleotide fragments that contain an open reading frame are provided. Compositions comprise a nucleotide sequence that encodes, in each of the three possible reading frames, an ATG start codon and a histidine tag, and vectors comprising such a nucleotide sequence. The vectors may be provided with cloning sites for insertion of nucleotide sequences of interest 5′ or 3′ to the 3-frame His-tag DNA sequence. Vectors also are provided with cloning sites for inserting nucleotide sequences of interest 3′ of the ATG start codon and 5′ of the 3-frame His-tag DNA sequence.

Abstract:
Additives for high alumina cement compositions are proposed. The additives are effective to reduce or prevent the deleterious conversion of hexagonal calcium aluminate hydrates to cubic hydrogarnet in the high alumina cement compositions. The additives comprise 80-99 wt. % of a siliceous pozzolan and 1-20 wt. % of an inorganic sodium or potassium salt.
Abstract:
Techniques for accelerated authentication include receiving first data that indicates a first portion of user credentials for a first user but not a second portion. It is verified whether the first portion of user credentials is valid. If the first portion of user credentials is valid, then second data that indicates a valid value for the second portion of user credentials for the first user is sent. Other techniques include receiving first data that indicates a first portion of user credentials for a first user but not a second portion of user credentials for the first user. A first message that indicates the first portion of user credentials is sent to a remote process that initiates authentication of the first user based on the first portion of user credentials before receiving second data that indicates the second portion of user credentials for the first user.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a new anti-tumor medicament comprising a mutant of endostatin. The mutant comprises a mutation in the ATP-binding site of endostatin and has a decreased ATPase activity and an increased anti-angiogenesis activity.
Abstract:
The invention is related to a capsule filler comprising: a capsule cap containing tray, a plurality of capsule body containing plates, a lifting base, and a frame, in which a plurality of spacer plates are provided on the top of the lifting base, which are movable. The capsule cap containing tray and each of the capsule body containing plates include thereon a plurality of sets of capsule receiving holes for placing capsules, each set including a plurality of capsule receiving holes, being correspondingly placed in top as well as bottom and number. The number of each set of capsule receiving holes is seven or a multiple of seven. The present invention provides a more suitable design of a capsule filler for animal hospitals.
