    摘要: A forward link device of a multicarrier CDMA communication system with an overlay scheme in which a multicarrier system and an IS-95 system share same frequency bands. In the forward link device, four encoders encode input data of corresponding rates with a 1/3 coding rate, respectively. A first repeater repeats two times full rate symbols output from the first encoder, and second to fourth repeaters repeat symbols output from the second to fourth encoders, respectively, according to a predetermined number of times, to match the number of corresponding output symbols to the number of full rate symbols. First to fourth interleavers interleave the symbols output from the first to fourth repeaters, respectively, to uniformly distribute the symbols of the same data bit to the carriers.

A base station includes a first channel transmitter for transmitting a control message including information representative of a spreading code for designating a specific forward common channel to a specific mobile station, to the mobile station via a forward common channel, and a second channel transmitter for spreading user data with the spreading code upon reception of a response to the control message and transmitting the spread user data. A mobile station includes a control message analyzer for analyzing a message including information representative of a designated spreading code received via a forward common channel, and a forward common channel receiver for despreading user data spread with the designated spreading code generated based on the information, using the spreading code.

    摘要: In a transmission device and method for a CDMA communication system, when a shorter frame message is generated during transmission of a longer frame message, the transmission of the longer frame message is interrupted, whereupon the shorter frame message is immediately transmitted in place of a portion of the longer frame message. In one embodiment, after the longer frame message is interrupted and the shorter frame message is transmitted, only the tail portion of the longer frame message is transmitted thereafter. That is, the replaced portion of the longer frame message is not transmitted following the shorter frame message transmission. In an alternative embodiment, following the shorter frame message transmission, the remainder of the longer frame message, from the point of interruption, is transmitted in its entirety. In the latter case, the longer frame message is delayed by the length of the shorter frame message.

In one method, the base station transmits a state check message to the mobile station in an active state. The base station receives a response message from the mobile station, and analyzes the received response message to determine a state of the mobile station. The base station terminates a corresponding channel and transitions to the state of the mobile station. In a second method for transmitting packet data between a base station and a mobile station in a CDMA mobile communication system, the mobile station transmits a state check message to the base station in an active state. The mobile station receives a response message from the base station and analyzes the received response message to determine a state of the base station. The mobile station terminates a corresponding channel and transitions the mobile station to the state of the base station.

    摘要: A traffic channel transmission device for a CDMA communication system using a plurality of coding rates and orthogonal codes, determines a present channel condition and adaptively selects a coding rate and an orthogonal code according to the determination. In the device, a channel receiver receives a channel signal and a controller analyzes the received signal to decide an environment of a channel in service and generates a coding rate select signal and orthogonal code information according to the decision result. A channel transmitter includes a channel encoder for encoding transmission data at a coding rate selected according to the coding rate select signal and an orthogonal modulator for generating an orthogonal code according to the orthogonal code information to spread the encoded data with the generated orthogonal code, whereby the channel transmitter adaptively encodes and spreads the transmission data according to the channel environment. The orthogonal code information includes a number and a length of the orthogonal code.
