Abstract: A projection system has a light source, a spatial light modulator, a light recycling system, and a lens assembly. The light source emits source light toward the spatial light modulator. The spatial light modulator modulates, according to an image signal, light incident on the spatial light modulator, so as to form projection light and non-projection light. The light recycling system receives at least a portion of the non-projection light, and guides the at least a portion of the non-projection light toward the spatial light modulator. The lens assembly receives and emits the projection light to form a projection image. The projection system of the present disclosure enables efficient use of non-projection light.

Abstract: A light source system includes an excitation light source emitting excitation light in at least first and second time intervals; a compensation light source emitting compensation light in at least third time intervals, the compensation light including laser light of at least one color; and a rotating color wheel, including at least first and second regions, the first region generating light of at least two different colors in time sequence under irradiation of the excitation light in the first and second time sequences, and the second region transmitting the compensation light in at least the third time sequence. The light of the at least two different colors includes at least one type of wide-spectrum fluorescence, and the laser compensates for the fluorescence or light split from the fluorescence. The compensation light is directly transmitted without being irradiated upon fluorescent powder, so scattering loss of the compensation light is reduced.

Abstract: A display apparatus and a display system are provided. The display apparatus includes: a narrow-spectrum light source configured to emit narrow-spectrum light in elliptical distribution; a reflection device including a reflection surface for reflecting the narrow-spectrum light to obtain to-be-modulated light; and a light modulation device configured to modulate the to-be-modulated light to obtain image light of an to-be-modulated image. The light modulation device includes a modulation surface configured to receive the to-be-modulated light, the modulating surface is at a preset angle to an optical axis of the to-be-modulated light such that the to-be-modulated light forms a circle light spot on the modulating surface. The narrow-spectrum light complying with the elliptical distribution is incident onto the light modulation device to form a circle light spot, thereby helping the light modulation device to emit image light in circular angular distribution, improving light effect and achieving better image display quality.

Abstract: A light source system comprises: an exciting light source for emitting exciting light; a supplemental light source for emitting supplemental light; a wavelength conversion apparatus for converting the wavelength of part of the exciting light and emitting first light; and a guide apparatus comprising a converging lens and a light combining element. The converging lens is used for adjusting a divergence angle of the first light. The light combining element comprises a first region. The supplemental light focuses on the vicinity of the first region, and the supplemental light and the first light emitted from the converging lens are combined with etendue at the light combining element. Light spots of the first light on a surface of the wavelength conversion apparatus form a magnified image at the light combining element by means of the converging lens.

Abstract: A display system includes: a light source, a light modulator, a recovery device, and a light intensity adjustment device. The light source emits original light that is incident to the light modulator. The light modulator modulates, on the basis of image data of an image to be displayed, the light incident thereto so as to form image light and non-image light. The recovery device recovers the non-image light, and the recovered non-image light is incident to the light modulator. The light intensity adjustment device adjusts, on the basis of the intensity of the non-image light corresponding to the currently modulated image to be displayed, the intensity of the original light emitted by the light source, thus allowing total intensity of the original light and the recovered non-image light that are incident to the light modulator to be kept consistent in modulation periods for different images to be displayed.
