Abstract:
A presentation device carries out a product presentation of a product. The presentation device includes a support element which is designed for placing on the head of a user, on which two display units are situated for stereoscopically displaying graphics data in front of the eyes of the user. The user is to be able to view the product at home without computer hardware specially purchased by him/her. For this purpose, the presentation device includes a memory for storing model data of a digital representation of the product, a simulation unit designed for simulating a relative position of the user with respect to the representation, and a rendering unit designed for generating the graphics data. The rendering unit is designed to display a stereoscopic view aimed at the representation from the simulated relative position, by the graphics data.

During setup of a display content on a display panel of a display apparatus a method for providing a selection option is performed which involves the display of a temporary display content at a temporary position on the display panel, the display content having at least one selection option. In addition, the method involves identification of a selection from at least one of the selection options at the temporary position on the display panel and display of a final display content at a final position on the display panel. Furthermore, there is provision for the selection from at least one of the selection options at the temporary position to be identified as a selection while the final display content is already displayed at the final position on the display panel.

A method for operating a display device Involves displaying at least one virtual object from a virtual observation position by virtual reality glasses, continuously detecting a position of the virtual reality glasses, determining, using the continuously detected position of the virtual reality glasses, whether the glasses are disposed in a specified region, and displaying the virtual object from the same virtual observation position by means of the display device as long as the virtual reality glasses are disposed in the specified region. A system includes virtual reality glasses.

A method for operating virtual reality glasses involves displaying at least one virtual object from a first virtual viewing position by the virtual reality glasses and displaying the virtual object and a first position symbol at a point corresponding to the first virtual viewing position and at least one further position symbol at a point corresponding to a further virtual viewing position by an external display unit. If a predetermined confirmation action in relation to the further position symbol displayed on the display unit has been detected, a virtual position change is performed by the virtual reality glasses from the first virtual viewing position to the further virtual viewing position, whereupon the virtual object is displayed from the further virtual viewing position by the virtual reality glasses.

An operating device of a motor vehicle has at least one display unit for displaying changeable information. Gaze detection is used to check whether the operator's gaze is directed at the at least one display unit. An input command in a first group of input commands is not executed if the operator's gaze is not directed at the at least one display unit for a certain time period during the input command. For a second group of input commands, the input command is executed irrespective of gaze detection.
