Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may initiate an application on a user equipment (UE) which utilizes a network slice via a packet data network (PDN) connection with a first cellular network. The first cellular network may support network slicing and voice over new radio (VONR) and one or more cells of the first cellular network may support evolved packet system (EPS) fallback procedures. The UE may receive or initiate a voice call with another UE and adjust one or more capabilities of the UE such that an EPS fallback procedure is deemphasized. The UE may receive signaling from the first cellular network to establish, based at least in part on the one or more adjusted capabilities of the UE, the voice call as a VoNR call via the first cellular network and the network slice may be maintained during the VoNR call.

Abstract: A wireless network may include network equipment such as base stations that operate within cells and that communicate with user equipment (UE) devices. The network equipment may harvest anonymized data from the UE devices and may generate connection counts based on the anonymized data. The network equipment may estimate the total population of each cell based on the connection counts, may generate a maximum number of individuals allowed in the cells under a social distancing guideline, and may compare the estimated total population of the cells to the maximum number of individuals. Cells having an estimated total population that exceeds the maximum number of individuals may be labeled as cells having poor social distancing. Information may be provided to a UE device identifying these cells to allow a user to make informed decisions on where to travel without exposing private information to the network.

Abstract: A user equipment (“UE”) connected to a first network that performs methods including receiving a page from the first network indicating an incoming voice call, when it is determined the voice call was not successfully connected, incrementing a value of a counter and when the value satisfies the threshold, switching from the first network to a second network. Another method includes originating a voice call via the first network, when it is determined the voice call was not successfully connected, opening a socket connection with the first network and attempting to re-originate the voice call via the first network. Another method includes determining whether the UE has switched a connection from a first network to a second network and when it is determined that the UE has switched the connection to the second network, initiating an action by the UE.

Abstract: A method for facilitating reselection by a wireless communication device to a first network from a second network after termination of a voice call for which a CSFB procedure was performed is provided. The method can include performing measurement of the first network while connected to the first network and performing measurement of the second network during the voice call. The method can further include determining based at least in part on one or more of the measurements that the wireless communication device is in a mobility state. The method can additionally include deriving a predicted signal quality of the first network after termination of the voice call based at least in part on the measurement of the first network and using the predicted signal quality to determine whether to release a connection to the second network and attempt reselection to the first network.
