Abstract: This disclosure relates to performing receive beam tracking using motion sensing information in a cellular communication system. A wireless device and a cellular base station may establish a cellular link. A receive beam configuration may be selected for the cellular link. A downlink data beam may be received using the selected receive beam configuration. A possible modification to the receive beam configuration may be selected based at least in part on motion sensing information for the wireless device. It may be determined whether the possible modification to the receive beam configuration improves downlink data beam reception. It may be determined whether to modify the receive beam configuration for the cellular link in accordance with the possible modification to the receive beam configuration, for example based on whether the possible modification to the receive beam configuration improves downlink data beam reception.

Further, the first device generates a wireless signal including (i) a first preamble generated based, at least in part, on the first Zadoff-Chu sequence, (ii) a second preamble generated based, at least in part, on the second Zadoff-Chu sequence, and (iii) a payload. Further, the first device transmits the wireless signal from the first device to a second device.

The method includes determining a block error rate (BLER) target value to be used in a channel state feedback operation associated with a link adaptation operation for a connection between the UE and the eNB.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods to dynamically indicate preference for self-contained slots and slot duration by a user equipment device (UE) in communication with a base station (e.g., a gNB) using a 5G NR radio access technology. A UE may determine to send an indication to a gNB indicating a preference for self-contained slots and slot duration for downlink and/or uplink communications utilizing one or more of the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), the physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), and/or acknowledgement messaging (ACK/NACK) for downlink communications, and utilizing one or more of the physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), the PDCCH, and/or the physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for uplink communications. The configuration of self-contained slots and slot duration for uplink and/or downlink may be based on one or more of average packet size, average packet rate, traffic type and UE processing capabilities.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform a method using a status change of a timer associated with a connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) communication session with a base station to trigger a switch from using a first bandwidth part (BWP) to a second BWP as the active BWP for the CDRX communication session. The timer may be an on-duration timer, an inactivity timer, or a retransmission timer. The UE may also alter a monitoring schedule of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in response to detecting the status change of the timer. The second BWP may have a wider or narrower bandwidth than the first BWP, depending on the type of timer and the type of status change.

Abstract: A downlink control information (DCI), such as a blanking DCI (bDCI) message may be transmitted by a base station (e.g., eNB) and received by a mobile device (e.g., UE). The bDCI may indicate that the eNB will not transmit a subsequent DCI to the UE for a duration of time. The UE may be in continuous reception mode or connected discontinuous reception (C-DRX) mode. The UE may therefore determine to enter a sleep state or take other action. The bDCI may specify an explicit blanking duration, or an index indicating a blanking duration from a lookup table, and/or the blanking duration (and/or a blanking duration offset value) may be determined in advance, e.g., semi-statically. When the UE is in C-DRX mode, the UE may be configured such that either the sleep/wake period of the C-DRX mode or the blanking period of the bDCI may take precedence over the other.

The wireless device may perform tracking using the reference signal information.
