Abstract: A luminance compensation method is configured to compensate luminance of a plurality of sub-pixels included in a display device. The luminance compensation method includes a curve generation and update process and a compensation process for each sub-pixel to be compensated. The curve generation and update process includes: detecting an actual luminance value of the sub-pixel to be compensated in real time; and generating an actual luminance curve showing how the actual luminance value of the sub-pixel to be compensated changes as a gray-scale value changes according to actual luminance values detected in real-time, and updating the actual luminance curve. The compensation process includes: obtaining an ideal luminance value corresponding to a gray-scale value to be input to the sub-pixel to be compensated, the ideal luminance value being a luminance value of the sub-pixel to be compensated after the gray-scale value is input to the sub-pixel to be compensated in a case where a light-emitting device in the sub-pixel to be compensated is not aged; and calculating a gray-scale value corresponding to an actual luminance value that is equal to the obtained ideal luminance value according to the actual luminance curve of the sub-pixel to be compensated, the gray-scale value being used as a gray-scale value that will actually be input to the sub-pixel to be compensated.

Abstract: A driving method and a driving device for a display panel, and a display device are provided. Each pixel of the display panel includes at least two primary-color sub-pixels of different colors and one mixed-color sub-pixel, and the driving method comprises: determining display power consumption according to the obtained brightness value of each of the primary-color sub-pixels; compensating for the brightness value of each of the primary-color sub-pixels according to the display power consumption; determining an output brightness value of each of the sub-pixels according to the compensated brightness value of each of the primary-color sub-pixels and a color coordinate of each of the sub-pixels; and outputting the output brightness value of each of the sub-pixels to a source driving circuit.

Abstract: The invention provides a pixel array, including N rows and M columns of pixel units, wherein each pixel unit includes two sub-pixels, two adjacent pixel units in the same row include sub-pixels of three colors including a red sub-pixel, a green sub-pixel and a blue sub-pixel, every two adjacent sub-pixels in the same row have different colors, in the pixel array, all the sub-pixels have the same shape, every two adjacent green sub-pixels are provided with a sub-pixel of other color therebetween, and every two adjacent blue sub-pixels are provided with three sub-pixels of other colors therebetween. The invention also provides a display device, a driving method and a driving device. Employing the pixel array of the invention, an image is displayed with a higher visual resolution, and a mask plate for manufacturing the pixel array has a larger minimal size, and the pixel array is manufactured with high yield.

The above method and apparatus provides a simple calculating method when adjusting the display data and may eliminate color cast.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes an OLED display panel, and a driving method and driving circuit thereof. After grayscale data of a pixel in an image to be displayed is acquired and aging degree of the pixel is determined, a data compensation coefficient of the pixel is determined according to both the grayscale data of the pixel and the aging degree of the pixel. Then, the grayscale data of the pixel is compensated using the determined data compensation coefficient. Finally, the pixel is driven using the compensated grayscale data.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a pixel structure, a display panel, and a display apparatus. The pixel structure includes a plurality of subpixels. The subpixels include red subpixels, green subpixels, and blue subpixels. The red subpixels and the green subpixels are all substantially in an isosceles triangular shape and have substantially a same area. Each blue subpixel is in substantially a rhombic shape and has an area substantially twice the area of the red subpixel or green subpixel. Each leg of the isosceles triangular shape of the red or green subpixel has a length equal to a side length of the rhombic shape of the blue subpixel. The display panel using the subpixel rendering algorithm has visual resolution greater than physical resolution. The enlarged blue subpixel extends life span to make all three color subpixel have similar life span.
