    摘要: An integrated circuit includes a monitor node adapted to receive a monitored signal. The integrated circuit also includes a multi-purpose node. The integrated circuit is adapted to receive and store a threshold presented at the multi-purpose node during a first time period. The integrated circuit is also adapted to output a fault signal from the multi-purpose node at a time after the predetermined time period. The fault signal is indicative of a relationship between the monitored signal and the threshold. With this arrangement, the multi-purpose node achieves at least two functions.

    摘要: A device for providing back massage with simultaneous accupressure stimulation along either side of the spine. The device comprises a frame in which are disposed a plurality of rollers which are freely rotatable and capable of being interchangeably positioned within the frame. One roller is of a larger diameter than the remaining rollers and is provided with a central circumferential groove which is bounded on each side by a surface having a plurality of nubs. In use, the nubs contact the user's body on either side of the spine at the desired location to provide accupressure stimulation. By providing the accupressure stimulation roller in a diameter which is larger than the other rollers, the device also provides intervertebral or intersegmental extension during use.

    摘要: A dual smart battery mutual detection system that utilizes intelligence built in to "smart batteries" in combination with a battery presence pin for enabling each battery of a dual battery power supply system of a PC to detect the presence, or, more importantly, the absence, of the other battery and to react accordingly is disclosed. In one embodiment, upon detection by the battery that is not being used to power the PC (the "inactive battery") of the removal of the battery that is being used to power the PC (the "active battery"), a microprocessor internal to the inactive battery closes an internal switch thereof, thereby causing the previously inactive battery to be "selected" and used to power the PC.
