Abstract: A connection apparatus for a medical device includes a first connection member having a first end and a second end with the first connection member defining at least one channel adjacent the first end. The at least one channel having a first portion extending in an axial direction and a shoulder adjacent to the first end of the first connection member that defines a channel entry. The at least one channel having a second portion extending in a transverse direction relative to the axial direction. The connection apparatus further including a second connection member having a first end and a second end and at least one protrusion adjacent the first end. The shoulder is configured to guide the at least one protrusion of the second connection member into the channel entry regardless of the orientation of the at least one protrusion relative to the channel entry.

The membrane includes a body having a first end and a second end with the collet movable from a first position where the locking member is open to receive a mating connector to a second position where radially outward movement of the locking member is restricted. The passageway of the body of the collet includes a narrowed portion configured to compress a portion of the body of the membrane.

Abstract: An adapter for connection with a fluid container includes an outer housing having a distal end, a proximal end, and a generally cylindrical sidewall extending between the distal end and the proximal end, an inner member comprising a body rotatably inserted within the outer housing, a first locking arrangement configured to restrict the inner member from rotating relative to the housing in a first direction, and a second locking arrangement configured to restrict the inner member from rotating relative to the housing in both the first direction and a second direction. The adapter is transitionable between: a disengaged state, in which the first locking arrangement and the second locking arrangement are not engaged with the inner member; a partially engaged state in which the first locking arrangement engages the inner member; and a fully engaged state in which the second locking arrangement engages the inner member.

Abstract: A medical connector system including a first connector and a second connector. The first connector has a housing, a biasing member, and at least one projection. The second connector has at least one groove for receiving the at least one projection. The proximal end of the second connector is configured to be at least partially disposed within the distal end of the housing of the first connector. Upon application and release of a first set of opposing axial forces applied to the connector system, the first connector is locked to the second connector and, upon application and release of a second set of opposing axial forces, the first connector is released from the second connector.
