Abstract:
A cassette includes: a tape roll rotatable about an axis extending in a first direction; a tape conveying passage; and first and second guides positioned at the tape conveying passage. The tape roll is a roll of a tape. The tape is conveyed in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction along the tape conveying passage. The first guide and the second guide are configured to guide widthwise edges of the tape in the first direction. The first guide has a first end surface and the second guide has a second end surface facing the first end surface in the first direction. The first end surface and the second end surface provide a distance therebetween in the first direction smaller than a widthwise length of the tape in the first direction.
Abstract:
A cassette includes: a tape having a first surface and a second surface opposite each other; an ejecting portion for discharging the tape in a conveying direction; and a guide provided at the ejecting portion. The tape has a thickness in a first direction defined as a direction from the first surface to the second surface. The guide includes a first region in contact with the first surface of the tape at the guide, and second and third regions in contact with the second surface of the tape at the guide. The first region is positioned between the second region and the third region in a widthwise direction of the tape perpendicular to the first direction. The first region is positioned further in the first direction of the tape at the guide relative to the second region and the third region.
Abstract:
A printing device includes: a housing; a cassette receiving portion provided in the housing; and a print head provided at the cassette receiving portion. The cassette receiving portion is configured to detachably receive a cassette including a case in which an ink ribbon and a tape are provided. The print head extends in a first direction and is configured to be inserted in a head opening of the case upon attachment of the cassette to the cassette receiving portion. The print head is configured to perform printing to the tape via the ink ribbon. The cassette receiving portion is open in the first direction and in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. Upon attachment of the cassette to the cassette receiving portion, a portion of the cassette protrudes out of the housing in the second direction.
Abstract:
A cutter unit includes a cutter holder, a cradle, a cutter lever, a cradle lever, and a transmitting portion. The cradle faces the cutter holder and movable between a full-cut position and a half-cut position. The cutter lever is configured to be contactable with the cutter holder. The cradle lever is configured to be contactable with the cradle. The transmitting portion is configured to move the cutter lever and the cradle lever in interlocking relation therebetween. The transmitting portion is configured to shut off transmission of movement of the cutter lever to the cradle lever in accordance with only operation to the cutter lever out of the cutter lever and the cradle lever while the transmitting portion is configured to transmit movement of the cradle lever to the cutter lever in accordance with only operation to the cradle lever out of the cutter lever and the cradle lever.
Abstract:
An image reading device includes a tray unit, a recording unit disposed above the tray unit, an outer guide defining a curved path extending from the tray unit to the recording unit, a sheet feeder configured to feed a sheet from the tray unit to the curved path, and a return guide disposed between the recording unit and the tray unit. The return guide pivots about a shaft and guides the sheet having an image recorded thereon back to the curved path. The tray unit includes at least one supporting portion. The return guide includes at least one supported portion. The at least one supporting portion of the tray unit engages the at least one supported portion of the return guide such that the return guide takes a guiding position in which the return guide defines a return path extending to the curved path.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus, including: a main body; an image recorder; a sheet supporter movable between an opposed position and a retracted position; a cap movable between a contact position and a distant position; a distance-defining member movable between a first position and a second position and configured to define a distance between an upper surface of a sheet and a lower surface of the recorder, the first position being a position where the member partially overlaps a region of the cap at the contact position, the second position being a position where at least a part of the member does not overlap the region; and a controller to control the cap to move from the distant position to the contact position after the supporter has been moved from the opposed position to the retracted position and the member has been moved from the first position to the second position.
Abstract:
In a conveying device, a cover member includes a guide portion and is configured to move relative to a casing between a first position at which the guide portion defines a first conveying path, and a second position at which the guide portion exposes the first conveying path to an exterior of the conveying device. A conveying unit is configured to convey a medium along a second conveying path. A flap is supported by the cover member and pivotable about a pivot axis between a third position and a fourth position. The flap is configured to guide the medium toward the conveying unit. A restricting mechanism is configured to selectively allow and restrict pivoting of the flap to the fourth position.
Abstract:
An image recording device is provided, having a recording unit configured to record an image on a sheet, and a tray disposed below the recording unit. The tray includes a sheet holding surface configured to hold the sheet. Additionally, the image recording device includes a sheet feeder disposed between the recording unit and the tray. The sheet feeder includes a roller for feeding the sheet from the tray. The roller is configured to move between a first roller position in which the roller contacts the sheet holding surface of the tray and a second roller position in which the roller is separated from the sheet holding surface. A return guide, disposed between the recording unit and the sheet feeder, defines a second conveying path to guide the sheet having an image recorded on one side thereof back to the feed guide. The return guide has a first opening configured to accommodate the roller of the sheet feeder when the roller is in the second roller position.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus including: a first convey path; a support member which supports a first recording medium, a second recording medium, and a tray; a second convey path connected to the first convey path; a first guide member partly defining the second convey path; and a posture change mechanism which changes the support member and the first guide member between (a) a first posture in which the first convey path has a height allowing the first recording medium to pass therethrough, and the second convey path has a height allowing the first recording medium to pass therethrough and (b) a second posture in which the first convey path has a height larger than the first height and allowing the second recording medium or the tray to pass therethrough, and the second convey path has a height smaller than the second height.
