    Abstract: An oral care implement having a body comprising a handle, a head having at least one oral care element extending therefrom, and at least one fluid outlet; a reservoir in the body and for storing an oral care fluid; and a pump in the body for pumping the oral care fluid from the reservoir towards the fluid outlet, wherein the pump is an umbrella check valve circumferentially surrounding a duckbill check valve. Alternatively, the invention is a method of manufacturing an oral care implement, including the steps of providing a body comprising a base having first and second holes extending therethrough; and fitting to the body a unitary component comprising first and second valves at a position at which the first valve blocks the first hole and the second valve blocks the second hole, wherein the first valve is an umbrella check valve that circumferentially surrounds the second valve.

    Abstract: A packaged oral care implement that includes a package having a blister carton with a receiving trough, an insert tray positioned within the receiving trough, and a backer panel enclosing an open rear end of the receiving trough. The insert tray may be located within a middle axial section of the receiving trough and is in a fixed axial position relative to the blister carton through mating contact between a retaining section of the blister carton and a portion of the insert tray. An oral care implement is positioned within the receiving trough of the blister carton such that an an sate body of the oral care implement is positioned within a product receiving channel of the insert tray to prevent movement of the oral care implement relative to the insert tray.

    Abstract: An oral care implement comprising a head and a handle is provided. The head comprises first and second faces. The first face includes a plurality of cleaning elements extending therefrom. The second face is located on an opposite side of the head to the first face. The head has a length in a direction along a longitudinal axis of the handle, and a width perpendicular to the length. The head has a proximal section adjacent to the handle and a distal section remote from the handle. The proximal section has a first maximum width and the distal section has a second maximum width, wherein the second maximum width is less than the first maximum width. The second face comprises a tissue cleanser, the tissue cleanser extending over a distal-most edge of the head and forming a ridge located on the distal-most edge of the head.
